Walked through the garden today searching for any signs of plant growth. I was excited to find my Virginia Bluebells starting to grow. I just bought them last summer, so I'm very excited to see them bloom for the first time!

The guys sent me to Lowe’s for a tool they needed. Big mistake! I found some pansy’s on sale, and a rose bush. $5.00 for the rose, .50 each on the pansy’s. I only got one rose, and two things on pansy’s, and a thing of starter potatoes that are blue! Next I need soil to get garden beds started. I think that today world be good to work on that! I’ve been good, ignoring all the plants I’ve wanted, but these were just too good to pass up. I love roses, just not good at keeping them alive, so by buying one on sale, it’s either a great investment or a small loss.

Moved the big metal rims from around the gazebo. 4 of them, every one had those little black bitting ants, I only got two bites. But they were half burried, and heavy enough I had to use a pick to lift them, prop them up with bricks so I could grab them, then lift them up and roll them away. Next I start covering the ground with plastic to solerize the weeds away!

I went to the store for soil today. Realized after I got it out of the truck, I’m going to need to amend it with compost or such to boost the volume, cause 8 bags wasn’t enough. I’d need almost 6 bags per container, I only got 8. And I was bad, I bought a peach tree!

That's the problem when you go to buy something, you can't really be blamed if something else, "follows you home."

Mother Nature is playing a cruel April fools joke. Lovely 70s yesterday, just above freezing today. I may have to bring my tomatoes in. I’ll check them when I go hide Easter eggs.

I'd have to dig up 5+ inches of snow to show you there is nothing going on as yet. Another couple of hours, and it should be closer to eight inches. I'm not smiling here!

If the corn looks ok it should be ok. You may not get that pstem to grow, but another one should come up. Is the stem soft and mushy, or still firm?
