Filled my second big seed module tray and planted Bedfordshire champion onion seeds. It is an odd size 8 X 13 modules, did the other one about a week ago with a different variety. Something old fashioned, but I can't remember the name.
Dug out a trench for my next HK venture, it is a fairly newly cultivated bit and still pretty heavy with clay. I found a spade got coated with clay, but it is wet and has been cultivated, so I have been able to dig it with a shovel, taking out a couple of inches a full spit deep Heavy work, I'll ache tomorrow, but this is where I want to put my sweetcorn, so there is still a fair bit to do
Split some wood for the fire, chopped up some more with the chainsaw, another of those jobs I might catch up with a bit come Summer, if there is nothing else to do :) (Some chance)

Son is supposed to cut our Firewood but he was sick so me and my wife got some.

He always laughed at me cutting year round long as it wasn't nasty.

The morning started off frosty and misty but by around 11am the sun was out and it was jumper off weather,
I got the rotator out and gave one of the veg area's a good turn over, I was happy to say the soil turned over well and is nice and crumbly , A few more turns over the next few weeks and this patch will be ready for the Spuds to go in,
And the other task for today was and good jet wash on the rotator and refuel ready for the next turn over,
It soon became dark and the days for the outside gardening is over until tomorrow,

Nice work in the garden today! Clearing out weeds can be tough, but it sounds like you got a lot done. Planting season is just around the corner, and it's great that you're getting everything ready. Planting peas early is a smart move, and your variety of fruits and veggies sounds perfect for your space. Adding native plants for some extra flair is a great idea. Thanks for sharing your gardening journey with us!

Was going to move my Blueberries so I was digging holes and fell had my Son get me up. He said the Blueberries would be just fine just clean them up. So pulled grass out, put Compost in and Mulched it with Shredded Leaves.

Give 3 Spider Plants to a friend.

Decided why worry about cooling my Greenhouse. Just take the plants out and put them in the shade considering I live in the woods.

Careful with that falling over, Big Rockpile. 99 times out of a hundred it is okay, then the hundredth time you fall on or through something.
Been digging out a hole about 6'X8' and almost a foot deep. There was once a bed down under where the oak tree now grows, it was edged with concrete slabs which barely showed anymore, some were completely covered. I have been digging them out and using them to edge around the hole, putting them on a few inches of clay from the bottom of the hole for a little extra height and so I can level up. Got about five or six inches in the bottom all over, then dead leaves and lots of bags of composting grass cuttings, moss raked from the lawn and other vegetable rubbish. Starting to put the earth back on top now and running it through a riddle as there is a lot of clay in it. I am getting balls of clay that don't go through and I am using them to build a ramp around the outside edge up against the concrete slabs, partly it supports them, partly I am hoping it will help keep an even temperature in the bed. another week or so and I reckon I will have a good, level, raised bed in my North sloping garden, then I will take on the next six feet. Of course they will sink a fair bit as it all beds down, so I will make them up in April before I plant.

Well Frost was on the Leaves so I messed around in the Greenhouse.

Cut Blooms off my Petunias and Geraniums to get them growing.

Found I had a few White Flies so I Sprayed and put up Sticky's.

Frost was off finally going to finish Shredding Leaves. Oh the heck with it I'm done.

Open up the Greenhouse. Mixed some Potting Soil, did some work on a raised Bed.

Went through seed to see what I had and what to order.

Ate Blue Oyster Mushrooms for first time.

And what were they like? Love it when I can get a new experience at my age, well most of them, the leg operation I could have done without :)
They are great I can't say I know of close to the plant taste.

The stems are tuff so take them off.

We have had two meals with them.

First time was all about the mushroom just fry with Onion. It was very good.

Second time was in a Sauce had Tomato that just over powered the Mushroom.

Went paid for some Lumber for my Store.

Seen a plant on Clearance that looked sad so I took it home.

Repotted plants. Took cuttings hoping on rooting.

Took some pots and took the soil out to reuse it.

Put Wood Chips on a Strawberry Bed for mulch.

Ordered some Strawberries.

Told my Son I Repotted his Purple Heart. He thanked me saying he had no idea what it was.

Was removing some leaves again, but with all the rain, even a few "dry" days the leaves are not all dried out. Picking up a bunch of sticks for the burn pile. Will be pruning down stuff today. Trying some areas of leaf removal again.
