Did some more to the HK bed I am building. Because it runs downhill, but I am creating a level bed, my wall is gradually getting higher and the amount I have to dig out is getting less. Although I have taken a lot of clay out to build up the edges it is still very clayey and with the rain I turn into a walking mud ball as I work.
My first lot of purple summer broccoli have started germinating, along with my first marigolds.

Planted 13 -2 year old Jersey Giant asparagus crowns yesterday. I ordered 15 and the seller sent me 23 (love it!). I'll be squeezing in a 2'x11"x10' low profile bed to plant the rest today. This will make a total of 36 plants given the bed I planted late last fall.

@ Meadowlark; You can probably guess by now I love asparagus. ;)

Another bed complete and ready for planting more asparagus.

First photo shows sifted fill I brought in from the chicken run. Second photo shows a thick layer of compost from the compost bin. Third photo shows fill and compost mixed, and finally the compost bin.

Tomorrow I will remove the small timber separating the old asparagus bed from the new bed. Add more compost to the hole for each crown and add worm casting above that. Finally, I will add another thick layer of compost throughout the entire bed.

Feel horrible and didnt go to work. Figure since its sunny and 45F I would get some fresh air. Installed 8 solar lights in the driveway and garden. Another 8 show up today. I'll install those tomorrow if I don't go to work.

Watered everything I think with the warmer temperatures everything is drying out faster.

Filled a Raised Bed 4X12 8 inches deep for my Strawberries.

Went to the Lawyer give them bunch of money. Get my Business going. Registered with the state and all.

Almost warm enough considering planting.

Oh got an Aloe blooming.

Thinned lettuce, radishes, spinach & peas from the raised beds. Managed to relocate 22 romaine lettuce plants to other areas of the garden. Also prepped another adjacent area for a flower mix in hopes of attracting pollinators.
