Didn't do anything really Watered and keeping an eye on the Greenhouse.

Nothing is happy but it's part of living here.

I would be happy watering in a green house. We are getting bombarded with snow right now. My only plant I am watering right now is my Meyer Lemon. It's my third one. They seem to die once I bring them indoors for the winter. So far so good. Last year I though it died. It looked dormant for about a month. I almost threw it out. The dwarf pomegranate I let it freeze. Fruit was to small and horrible. Not worth taking care of.

No gardening today, as we've had a couple of inches of "designer snow."

Hopefully, this won't last as the sun is out and the temperature is just above freezing,

But it'll be pretty for now.

The old boy who used to live next door would say, "Six inches of snow is worth a couple of inches of manure". Observation makes me think he was right. Maybe when the crystals form they pick up nitrogen?

Never thought of it that way but makes sense to me.

I do believe the more snow we get the more you wash deeper into the soil the micros and macros since it eventually melts and turns to water.

The weather has turned and it is much warmer, and the cold snap has dried the ground out a bit.
Made up a bucket that I had half emptied, and sowed some carrot seed to germinate in the greenhouse. Also sowed some sweet peas and put them to sit on the bedroom windowsill. I missed my usual September/October sowings and want some as early as I can. Cleared off about half of a rather neglected bed, Had garlic growing there last year and found a bunch of new, young, plants all growing together, they are going in dinner. Sieved a bit of compost to go in my mix to top up buckets. Tidied things up a but and put weights on light objects, we are predicted another storm.
Basically had a good old potter round.

I got wet going a few paces from the house into the barn next door And then spent the afternoon converting a few clay plant pots into bird nesting homes,
All made with scrap wood and painted and sealed, These will be going out in the next few weeks (This gives the birds chance to check them out pre nesting in them "I hope")

I was asking about growing in the Greenhouse but was told where it was no.

I guess it's one of those things out of sight out of mind even though it is legal.
