@Colin your gale got out again and came down to us, but she's gone now.

It made it up to 22°f today, the snow has stopped, the wind is still blowing, we ended up with a little over 10 inches. Now comes the fun of clearing the snow off the drive way and side walks

New England must be very cold now. I am now freezing as the central heating has not kicked in yet. Feel like starting it now. It's 4 to 9c today. Mostly a dry day bar an hour!

8:20 am 4*f cold, clear and windy. High for today 10*f been out for the last 2 hrs clearing the snow from the drive way and side walks again. Stay warm everybody.

Our day is starting out bright and sunny at -4 degrees F. The snow is not melting at all.

Various organizations give long range winter forecasts and they were saying that my region was suppose to be warmer than normal and a dry winter.

WRONG on both accounts

5C here at the moment in glorious rare sunshine; so rare I've just dashed into the kitchen to take a picture of our rear garden.

Is Blackie sulking and what's happened to Gale; Gale is only putting out a gentle breeze at the moment; something's afoot.

And by the end of next week it will be back close to 50° F talk about a rollercoaster ride! Thanks for your caring thoughts Colin. As long as we keep power it's all good.

Edit: Too be honest, I'm not sure I would want any part of your weather, with it's longevity.
