Good morning to all: A bright day. I'm going to shed the neighbour's ivy and my own hypericum cuttings. A lot to do before it gets too hot.

Johnny, that looks good now.

After yesterday with all that rain and me with my leg in plaster and OH pulled his side when he tripped up the curb a few days ago in the dark. I've decided not to have another dog, going to stick to 2 dogs.

Hope everyone is well.(y)

Oh no!! @Logan , I hope Mr Logan is OK.....what are the pair of you like?;)
Are the dogs looking after you both well..... what's their cooking like?:D:D(y).

Both of you take care now :):).

@alp that's a job and a half!!.....hope you wear ear defenders, especially if your shredder is as noisy as ours is:eek:.

@Verdun you're a man of few words......put your chatty hat on and tell us all about your walk.......we may all be dead envious, but love to hear all about it (y):):).

The garden is looking really lush now after all the rain...in for a dry and sunny day today:)

Hope you all enjoy a Trouble free Thursday(y)

The whiff is still somewhere! I heard the fly buzzing and knew something dodgy somewhere, but I have no idea where. I have now opened all the window as I was hot from shredding the trimmings from yesterday and 7am, next door opened the windows and I couldn't breathe, again! Any way, the patio doors both open, and it is so hot and sunny here!

The shredder is useless. Ex brought up his and said he would let me use his as the diameter was a bit bigger, but I only use it on E7 (so that I don't feel so bad when I buy plants!), so he took it back as he needed it. The shredder was so stuck that I decided to use the lawn mower to go over the tender bits. Whooosh whooop and all of them gone in no time, well, an hour! Should have started with the lawnmower. The shredder couldn't even handle the sticks .. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.... Might sell it as it is so frustrating to use.

After that I soaked my strepto in warm rain water (with hot water added) and some tomorite and Provado and now I need to repot tons of stuff.

Upsy....a man of few words? Some would say differently..ha ha ;)
Yes, early walk to the beach........warm, peaceful and invigorating (y). As I oft say the only thing missing is my dear old dog ..Spike :(
Potted on several pelargoniums into 1 or 2 litre pots.....I now use a mixture of john innes and mpc as well as potting on coleus plants. Not sure I really like coleus but I have 3 nice ones. Never know where to place them in the garden so prob go into containers later.
Nematodes arrived for veg garden so watered them onto carrots, spring onions, beetroot etc. Touch wood I dont seem too bothered by carrot fly but a combination of fleece and nematodes seems effective
There are showers around but not here....Cornwall for you! ......just a couple of miles inland there is rain. Here it is sunny
Have fun folks ;)

Been a stiff day! Wish I had a beach to escape to... I stood for more than 4 hours, repotting strepts. I thought they had all died. Some were inside a box for nearly 3 months without being seen. It was a nightmare. I'm now totally allergic to streptos and their bugs..The kitchen was in a mess. I tidied it up and cleaned up everything. Finally, I can sit down and relax.

Let the water from the butts go to 2 dry places in the garden and will switch the taps off at 9pm. Hopefully all the butts will be full tomorrow.

Hi @tbendl ! Welcome to our thread. This iris is much bigger than my other ones. They are all lovely though. Can we see some of your flowers please?

@Verdun , I know what you mean about Coleus:D I grew them for the first time last year and brought them in to overwinter. They grew very leggy and despite cutting them back they didn't look good, so in the compost bin they went.:(. Might give them another try next year and keep them in pots on the patio, rather than in the borders.

Are you likely to get another furry best friend ?
