Good morning, @Verdun Hope to see some of your beauties soon. I have ox-eye daisies, but they are very tall and with buds. Can I snip the stems off as I don't like them too tall. Or is that wrong? Anyone who looks in can give me some badly needed advice please!

Good morning alp :)
You will lose those flowers for now, of course. They will come again on sturdier bushes ;)
I pinch out most everything....sedums, heleniums, seedlings and shrubs grown for their summer foliage.

@Verdun Thank you. Will there be flowers still this year if I pinch the stem? Or no flower this year. They were that tall when I bought them. Now they are like 3 feet and collapse onto the ground with a big patch in the middle.

Morning all,
@Klona ......your sunflower....what can I say... amazing, mine are only just poking poking through the compost!!!!!!! (2nd attempt as the first ones got forgotten and dried out:()

Bet you did sleep well @alp :D Mind you I shifted alot of pots about yesterday , planted out many plants and kept moving other pots around so as to work out the best spot for them. It's now a case of finding room for things, cut back some shrubs and plants that had spread out a bit too much and pulled up some Wallflowers that the rain had battered down.......it all helped me to gain more planting space:)(y) . Still finding it hard going , kneeling down to garden as always..bad joints and back but as an extra bonus I now have unbendable toes to contend with. You don't realise how much you rely on being able to flex your toes........ until you can't:(.

Things are different when you have dogs @Logan .It's surprising how each one varies. My Dad has always had them, mostly Labs....but this last one....well her penny spending has really messed up his lawn. He puts up with it and refuses to give her anything, won't even put the Rocks in her water bowl. He says it's a small price to pay for the love and company she gives him......so true:).

Agree @Verdun , best to wait until your ready and the time is right for you. Think we are in for a fairly good day ,a chance of a passing shower this afternoon. Hopefully will be able to continue planting out.........just my luck we'll have frost now!!!

Have a Fabulous Friday everyone:):)

Upsy Daisy, yes they are all different. Barley drives us up the wall with his barking and going mad when OH has to go out. eather with berry or when he goes in the car. He nearly knocked the radiator off the wall when he tried to take berry out. So we get him in the other room. We are just sticking with 2.:)

Hi, @tbendi, welcome to this thread. Lovely water lilies.:)
Thank you. :)
@tbendl Forums are very useful and you get to meet some very nice people and very occasionally, some nasty ones, (must emphasise, just like society). Youtube is also good. Would love to see your waterfall!
LOL Yeah you are right, it's a lot easier to ignore the nasty on a forum though. Lol. I got a short video last night and will try and post it later. I've also got an area laid out for some kind of greenery behind the pond. It gets full sun so I am looking at liriope or a chaste tree with some smaller aztec grass maybe. Still looking into what I want to do.
