Wonder if @johnny canoe is still snowing in Canada! We have been freezing cold and I moved from room to room as it is warmer here, west facing. Just finished sieving at 5pm and now typing on a keyboard. So annoying as everything I type, there is a red circle counting my grammatical mistakes and 5pm is one of them!
Couldn't find the camera as I have moved around like a homeless soul and misplaced the camera. Tomorrow I will definitely upload some pics on johnny's thread.
Oh dear, sounds like your day hasn't been too good.
I've just felt too cold to join hubs in the garden today .....so left him to it. Went round to my older sister's for some CCC ( coffee, cake and chat) instead.......its a hard life ! Came back after 3 hours and found supper waiting for me to consume it.
We did have a few spits and spots of rain this afternoon, but it didn't even make things damp
You lucky thing, @Upsy Daisy ! Dinner waiting for you! I have the same potato stew/soup from this morning. Thank gawd that I have Sweet Thai Chili crisps to the rescue. I have already consumed 2 in the last half hour. Must go to the shop to stock up. Guilty pleasure. I am worried that I might have a 3rd one. Small packets only!
Shame as Mark56 has had enough to water the ground whilst we have spits and spots and chilly winds! After this, we will have settled weather and even more remote chance of having rain!
Did you hear on the news today about how climate change is effecting UK gardens , wetter up north ( nothing new there!) and much drier and hotter here down south. We are now able to overwinter more tender plants than before, Have to start researching into desert planting soon .
That made me laugh out loud! Quite right. All my moisture loving strepts are on the verge of dying. Soon, it will be cacti, verbena, calendulas, Californian poppies and nothing else. All my seedling are screaming for water in the lean to and some are freezing outside tonight. There is a distinct chill tonight. Wonder what's wrong with Logan? @Logan give us an alert as I want to see if you are OK! OK?
The past couple of times I went down to the river to feed birds, they were busy doing something else. I figured I would see if any were around this morning at about 8am. Sure enough they were all out for me after a couple snowy days.
@johnny canoe Some turbulent currents in that river. Lovely photos. Are you near the big city as well. Such a big country and yet full of skyscrapers. Shame! Why shouldn't everybody has a house with a little bit of space to himself? Are those birds on the sea wall? My eyes are so bad that I can't tell.
@Upsy Daisy Every cloud has a silver lining. Strange that my front lawn has a layer of hard frost. Usually, it is the warmest place. Will clear up the lean to (why is it that I keep on doing it??) and have to put something in the workshop and get the tomato compost out for my tomatoes, what else. Sort out the car insurance. Nightmare.
