Good morning all: The sun is here and everything is much greener rather than blue.

@johnny canoe Such a lot of skyscrapers! I would lose my sanity if I got locked up in a flat. When I was young, we used to have farms and we moved closer to the city centre and later everybody flew the nest and my sister would get calls telling her that our gates were opened and things got stolen. That was years ago. Now all my siblings are living in flats, except one who had studied in America.

Well made video and the beginning music was very good. Moody and dark. I reckon Somerset had a lucky escape last year. Every time I saw floods in this country, I asked myself: Where are the townplanners and countryside planners? Why didn't they dredge the rivers? Lots of questions.

Just to tell you that man proposes, nature or god disposes. Sometimes, resistance is futile.

Morning Verdun.... sorry we have borrowed it, you don't mind sharing it do you?
Very true, we only had a shower last night but things have definitely sprouted since.
Hope you had a lovely walk this morning.
Enjoy your day :).

Morning Daisy and Verdun.

Daisy, I'm OK, but OH gone out food shopping. Found that Berry's got a bleeding back paw. He'd just been for his walk. There's small patches of blood all over. Tried to get it up, by putting a wet cloth on the floor and moving it around with my stick It looks like it's stopped bleeding, but can't see properly. I'm confident that i won't lose my job.;)

Aah poor Berry, I'm always surprised that dogs don't injure their paws more often due to all the rubbish we humans litter the environment with. Hope he is OK.

I thought I had switched off my laptop. Apparently, no. I paid for the car insurance, line rental for internet and my MOT is lurking around the corner in June..:eek::cry::cry: Wish it rained like the way I cried. The best butt has one inch of water. That's my lot.

Verdun, by the look of it, you will have tons of rain soon.. Please send it to be in a tanker. Much appreciated. Very sunny here and the sun warms up quite quickly. Dogs require a lot of dedication and work. Loyalty, pleasure and companionship are invaluable though.

Logan - sorry for Berry and even more sorry for you as you are not so mobile. Hope you're nice to OH as he really has a lot on his plate and make sure you're comfortable.

Daisy: not so romantic when you have to wake up 6am to pick water cress when it was frozen. When I asked my nephew to go and pick some landcress, he had no idea what it was.:eek:

Going to be busy today. Have a lovely day, whatever the weather.

I bet you do Verdun, have you any plans on getting a new one or even a rescue one? I dread the day when my dad's old girl passes, my parents have always had dogs , but the last few have been rescued/ re- homed dogs as they felt they couldn't cope with a youngster:). But since my mum died 11yrs ago his dogs have been his life, he's only had his present Lab. for a couple of yrs but she was 12 when he got her. It will be a heartbreaking task trying to persuade him not to get another , but at 92 he can't drive or walk them anymore ,he loves them and gives them a loving home, but it's lacking on walks and more physical activities.

Thanks, Alp and Daisy. OH just came back, had a look at his paw. It's just a nick on the large pad on his back paw. The thing is the place hasn't been vaccumed for over a week and it could have been a bit of grit caught his pad when they go mad, when OH went out. So he's just vaccuming.

That's a shame about your dog, you will have to get another. I know he or she won't be the same.

Oh no, that's a disaster!!
Last night's drizzle didn't produce much here:(
All our 5 butts are empty all bar one that only has an inch or two remaining......it's becoming a desperate issue now. I'm sure water restrictions/ hosepipe bans will be implemented soon:(
