and about 30 more in the garage hahahaha...which is nothing compared to my purpose built shed at my last abode which boasted just under 100 tanks of varying sizes.

@BigC 100 tanks .. You never do anything by half! No wonder you can't sleep well.. Joking apart, you fish are lovely ... That prawn is in a salt water tank, is that right?

Your mum was a bit brutal. Nobody used anything after 2 decimal points, any way. Well, it wouldn't hurt you, but wouldn't help you any way.

I beg to differ!
Just a "for instance..." Let's say I want to buy a riding lawn mower. Brand new it is $2000. (I'd get free delivery!! .) The state sales tax in Ohio is 5.75%. So, I'll pay .0575 cents on every dollar.

$2000 at .05 cents (2 decimal points) and it is $100 in tax.
At .057 cents (the third decimal point) I'll have to pay $114 in tax.

(Then add another dollar for the .0005 cents. .)

Knowing that would help me.

I do agree, it was very nice.

Except now, I find myself writing story problems at 1:30 in the morning!!

Amano Shrimp .....NOPE...its freshwater...there are lots of beautiful Freshwater shrimps these days..infact its a hobby in itself and has become like KOI al be it cheaper...(pedigree recognized strains still change hands for lots of beer tokens lol) Caridina cantonensis sp.

I remember seeing some stunning salt water prawns. In fact, everything about it is beautiful. Koi is a bit big, only if you have a big pond. I heard neighbour's ones splashing in the water all the times. The brats fished them, chuckled and put them back into their pond ..

What is logarithm? Is it x2 x y2 =z2?

Can't remember the term, but I do know quadratic equation x3 .... division .. all thanks to youtube. I learned it from youtube and taught my son.

Maths and physics never my strong subjects.

Not very good at maths. English was ok, good at domestic science and crafts. Didn't like PE, i was 1st in a biology exam, had to draw a heart from memory. Was good at drawing.

I have a GCE in Maths and Physics but have forgotten most of it...I suppose we use Physics all the time and are just hot wary of the fact that we are and dont care about the explanation of the processes so long as we get what we want, the same could be said of Mathematics lol

Love English Literature. When watching a theatre production of Tempest, I couldn't understand a word and promptly fell asleep. Woke up when it's finished. LOL!

As you can see, salvia seeds are brilliant as they germinate very quickly.

Morning from a sunny and showery Cornwall
English, science and economics for me.....did ok with them Maths? No but did enough to pass an A level in it, somehow Not bad at PE.....represented the county and uni at athletics. Even did some boxing
Cannot draw or paint much to my disappointment

I have always been lousy at drawing. In a course, I needed a blob like splashed paint, I scanned it and traced over it, the lecturer was not amused.

I think I have created a new thread to do with salvia collection, but now I can't find it myself. @MaryMary if you're still awake (sad!) - how do I tell them about having no notifications please? I must be off.
