@alp lovely pics. That link was for eBay, i don't think i want to buy health care products off there. I've started to get the aching back, try and get into the docs. Or see what what my results were. But i think if it was a urine infection, I'd have it all the time. We used ronseal one coat gloss for the doors and skirting. But if it hasn't been done for a while, need 2 coats. Got it from B&Q or Homebase. Used to be a time when there was a lot of DIY stores, but not anymore. Don't know how much it always use brushes.

Good morning everyone :)
Stormy night...Aileen was not a nice visitor! :(
Quieter now, even sunny right now and no damage aa far as I can see in the garden...... the very tall cannas for example are fine as are dahlias,,heleniums and the rest.
Put into perspective, a quarter of the homes in Florida were totally destroyed by Irma.....cannot imagine how people there are coping.

PURDY from Screwfix...a little expensive but no bristle loss..again trade tip and mohair rollers

Haha! You're brilliant! Will do just that. I'm fed up with the cheap and nasty things that I bought. What do you use to wash the brush afterwards? Oh, dear! You're going to be here for a long time. Just went out to mow the tricky bits from clearing out the border. I might concrete up my garden one day!

Good morning to @Mark56 , @Verdun and @BigC and @Logan , and others:

Thank heavens that there has been no damage to your cannas and other beautiful plants, @Verdun . When I photographed the hibiscuses, the winds were howling, but it was clear and bright. Son shredded the bits and pieces using the lawnmower.

This year, I'm collecting hibiscuses - no fuss plant, suitable for my weather here - hot and droughty. I have now one single blue, white / pale blue double, some red singles and some yellow singles.. several hibiscus trionums, some hibiscus mutabilis .. (sadly the last one hasn't flowered yet) Might buy some Giant hibiscuses

This one below might die on me. But I have separated one plant into 3 ..

This pompon is now more than 4 iches across

SAM_0081.JPG

Went around to buy this and that. Bought 4 of these chairs for £15 each and 10% discount. The big box was a raffle ticket win by my son for a alkie bar .. Bought Johnstone Brilliant white 1.25L £7.99 each x 3, Couldn't find Purdy, got a no-loss (claim) brush, some white spirit and 2 door hinges. Surprising Solvite in B&M is about £2 cheaper than that in B&Q

I guess a fat man must have sat on it and broken one of those and hence the reduction from £27 to £15. Hahaha!

Wow! A yellow one! Impressive. That's a real beauty! Big man's bragging right!

Are you going to eat it or just to brag about it? I am giggling just thinking of James Wong's wry expression when he was bragging about the schovilles of the chilli .. Quite hilarious..

I have this miserable pointed sweet pepper x 2 and the longest one is only half of the size of those I bought in the shop. Trouble is if I left it indoors, the buds might drop .. and I will be asking - Will I have any pepper?

@alp :ROFLMAO::DThanks, it's a very hot one. I'll cut it into quarters and freeze it. I don't know what I'm going to do when i have to put the Christmas tree in there.
Your pepper looks great,it might be a small variety.

Can you buy concentrated cranberry capsules (or tablets) over the counter? Maybe one of these?

Logan, I wasn't giving you the link to buy them from eBay. I was asking if you could find any of those at a local drugstore! o_O Or grocery store. Or dollar store.

@MaryMary Your beloved Art nouveau - I've found out that it even has a lovely yellow colour to it. I didn't notice it before

  (y)

I've got two new guppies! :D I've discovered it's easier to take pictures while they are still in the bag. ;)

LOOK at the beautiful tail on this male!! I'm tempted to put all the males in my guppy tank into the other tank for a month or two, just to give this one some "alone time" with all the girls!! :sneaky: ;) :ROFLMAO:

(The other new on is the yellow spotty one to the left.)

Here's a picture of the two together. I've been trying to get Blue Snakeskin guppies (they are also called "Cobra guppies,") and the yellow one has the pattern I'm looking for... but he's yellow.

With a bluish tint!! :D So...hopefully he will breed with some of my blue females, and I'll get the ones I want.

There are some other yellow and yellow/orange/red Snakeskins in the tank, and they have been breeding with the offspring of a Blue Moscow pair I had... fingers crossed!!
