Waiting for the postman for my irises .. The doorbell got ripped out and the content busted, so no doorbell for the time being. That thing was a hit and miss, so glad that the thugs next door ended its misery.

Lovely delphiniums, @zenji .. the blue is simply electric.. What is that flower above the delphinium, zenji ?.. I've never seen it before.

The astilbe is stunning and will flower for a while. I bought a pink one last week and chopped them into 4 and now I have 4 astilbes pink with NO flower...:p Now I have one red, one pink and one white. I remember your astilbes, @zenji They were simply stunning .. and wonder why you didn't put this in full image.. Such a deserving beauty!

I'm afraid I will bore you with my dahlias.. I can't resist photographing them.

These speckled dahlias seem to be very happy. Two in here.

There are numerous flowers in this plant.. Dinner plate and I wonder how it can support all that many flowers.

Nice to have it, but I still have had it. I think I might have to buy another wireless doorbell.

Hiya, @johnny canoe prolific lilies .. That reminds me of someone who had lilies for her wedding cake .. So many blooms. Johnny, you really have green fingers.

That nicotiana is also prolific .. I have started to pay attention to my nicotianas as they are so compact and there are so many blooms. I have several nicotianas which are like GIANTS and they have to seed themselves right next to the path ..

I wonder when I will have my first cannas... Have one about 1.5 foot all and some really tiny ones. Didn't expect them to live as the seed tray is labelled as Water melon. In the end, no water melon but 3 cannas..:p So now you know why my labelling skill is non-existent!

In the Beechgrove Garden, Chris Beardshaw has a run down on how to prevent slug attacks on hosta .. He has coffee, wool pellet, garlic spray, egg shell and slug pellets and one cultivar called slug free .. :D:D and look at your hosta here. Think you should tell him your secret!

@Zenj For once, I could find its name - Otto's Thrill. Very pleased with it, with tons of buds. I just need some heavy weight stick to prop it up.

Yes, I think @johnny canoe 's might be
Mirabilis jalapa , which usually have tons of different coloured flowers. It did very well here. My elderly neighbour used to have one and it was smothered with bloomed, red, orange and all sorts. Perhaps next year's weather might be better. My collarette is supposed to be called Night butterfly.

so this one is Night butterfly

The pink one with shape like collarette is called Teesbrooke Audrey.

I always like to come home from work and switch onto this thread before tea...because I know that it will be filled with wonderful stories and images of magnificent blooms and this evening is no different...great images as always a pleasure to view...I wish my dog was so obedient @Logan....I'll try the exercises @alp...I've been through worse with Ankle Fusion, whereby I managed to rip the foot off the leg...although I still limp a little the pain has almost gone for that I have to be thankful as things could have been a lot worse...

The white flower with the pink splodges is Yerba Mansa or Apache bead plant it grows in the pond margin as white and sometimes splashed pink flowers and the whole plant goes red in Autumn an oddity I think, they make necklaces from the seeds hence the name

@Zenj Glad that you told me 2 names. One search yields a herb with no picture another shows all the bead products, so I added the word plant and finally I know what it is. Interesting.. as if you had travelled to some exotic places to buy these seeds or this plant.

@Logan You made me giggle so much - first time you typed flee treatment I laughed a bit as phonetically they are the same but flee might sound longer. The last time you say your dogs stand very still in the FLEE treatment, I really have to tell you.. :p:D:eek::ROFLMAO:
