Good morning all and good morning to @marlingardener , one of the very few who welcomed me when I literally stumbled onto this forum!:p

Would love to see your irises, @marlingardener . I will order some, but those that I bought for £16 years back are still on sale and they look very banal, single colour. I want something like Mother Earth .. translucent upper and full of markings and deep velvety colour at the bottom petals.

@Klona It took me exactly 2 minutes to open mine. I used a serrated knife to chip off the empty bit in the stone (You just need to feel the stone and find the weakest link!). Well, I nearly chopped into the flesh. Lucky, I didn't and this gives me a chance to brag about my skill and MO. I saw the flesh of the seed and proceeded to use a pair of scissors to go around the edge and here it is.

Some flowers from yesterday

The rain has helped to bring out all the flowers in my Vivien Pennell. Double in summer, but single later! It has a hint of light blue about them.

The best show for this plant ever.

Didn't you see the stinging nettles? Haha!

They have now all gone. After I mulch the area, I will take a pic. Have a nice day too, to everyone who drops by .. Happy gardening whilst the sun is OUT!

It was a busy day yesterday. Planted out my Begonias in my shade garden, had to make visits to three of my customers. Went through all my plants putting peoples orders together and had a few stop in to pick them up. Last customer popped in a 9pm while I was calling it quits for the day. So I promised to be at her house at 9am to set her pots up for planting. Hot temps but looks like we will have some rain mid week.

@johnny canoe Glad that you're doing so well. Your customer service is excellent. 9pm and 9am.. That's how to build up good will, but don't let her take you for granted! :p

It's so hot that I had to come in. It was like having a sauna. The weather in this country is crazy. Cold days and suddenly, bang! I can't even stay outside. I have levelled my back garden more or less and put 2 raised bed to plant Tesco finest piccolo tomatoes and Wong Bak and spring a bit of rocket and everything in between. I don't even know where to put my 4 sweet corns. The lean to is like an oven. As soon as I opened my door, a fly buzzed non stopped. OK, finished my rant.

@Logan you must be enjoying the heat, sitting in the cool of your house, nursing your leg!.

@alp lovely pics, cistus love the heat and the kniphofia.
Yes it's nice in the house, kitchen is the coolest. I'll be glad when it comes off, i know I might not be able to do much, but at least I'll be able to move around.

I am not joking! The heat is just so stifling. This fat woman came out and said it was a lovely day. I absolutely hate it. Too hot and humid. I had to go in and watched another episode of Snapped and went out to work for another hour and tidy up all the tomato greenhouses which I won't use as this is hot enough here.

@tbendl Interesting photos - look like some swamp or some kind of mangrove. A lot of Brits like the heat. I absolutely hate it. You stand there and body oil just comes out all over your body. When it is really hot and humid, salty sweat drops right into your eyes. 20 C with the sun is OK, once it is 24 or 26, mamamia! Not my kind of good weather. I forced myself to do as much as I could. As you said, early in the morning and I hid myself in the shade till 11am. Another excuse for being lazy! :p

At this moment, I want to be @Logan minus the leg cast!
