Primula auriculas are the most pathetic plants I have ever sown. But they do live. They literally had no roots, but they survived. In the end, I bought some reduced and this time, I put them in the right place and they are still here. candelabra primulas are taller than auricula (people usually display them in clay pot and they are not so tall as the candelabra) and the flowers in tiers..

I was out putting up 2 raised bed. Too raised and I have planted some piccolo tomatoes, Pak choi, and Chinese cabbage and parsley. Then it rained and I came inside to repot some butterfly weeds - they have lovely long roots and they all germinated. I like plants like these and the chance of their survival is much greater. Also repotted some penstemons. Very pleased with myself as I have done quite a lot.

I did and can't have so many repeats. Some have died already. How's your day, Logan? It's getting cold now. I now have a pale blue one at the back. I love all my irises, but they really are short lived. They like it here as it is dry and hot and sunny.

Pathetic !!! No roots !!!
Well I love them , mine flowered for ages and really brightened up my Feb. garden. They are very prone to vine weevil that could be why you had root problems. All mine have a good robust root system:)

Well, I might be mad.. It's my turn. Hehe!

@Logan Yesterday, we had stir fry. Should have used ground nut oil for stir fry as the nutty flavour is important to a good stir fry. We had ginger, garlic, chilli, spring onion for the beginning and then added red pepper, green pepper, courgette, 2 mange tout, 2 baby sweetcorns, one mushroom, and some bean sprouts. Add sesame oil and soy sauce. The resulting dish was surprisingly sweet. Of course, no salt is allowed. Then we had an hour of exercise on the chair as one lady had had an operation. 2 other ladies and I ate our handiwork before going home.

I think I'm going to teach my son how to cook and buy him a good knife and a chopping board for his 22nd! Haha!

Healthy eating is so important. It's a way of life. They give these free lessons in Newham.

Thank you, @Logan slept well as I worked the whole day yesterday, but woke up to toxic fumes, again. Shut the bathroom window as neighbours will let go of their foul fumes at 7am. And found out how cold it was at night. A definite chill. Funny that the nights here can be sooooo cold.

Today, I'm going out to get some compost activators and go round diy stores - 2 only. Watched some silly old film last night and fell asleep for half an hour.

@alp glad that you slept well. It was cold here as well. Think it should get a bit warmer after the chances of frost has gone. Have a good day.

Good morning @Verdun thought we have one hot day already. I don't mind. Going out today. Must take advantage of such good weather. Not too hot .. Freshness in the air. Might take a bus which will take me to the most rural part of this borough and inhale and exhale..
