All the plants I am planting near the pond are perennials here.... I had to go back and check. Our winters are very mild here so I'm hoping they do fine and come back every year.
And thank you! I do share plants here as well. I have some who live locally and then a garden pond forum to share if there's extra.
And that Hare's Tail is lovely.

@tbendl I raised them from seeds and they grow readily. I thought they had died. Whilst pulling the pots out so that they could have a drink, I suddenly saw them. So pleased. They must have self seeded. You could try your hands at them. Stipa gigantea is also lovely, every elegant and swaying in the wind with their seeds is quite a pretty sight. If you don't want to buy seeds, just plant some oats. I thought I had stipa gigantea and when I saw the big seeds, I realised that it self-seeded itself from birds' feed! LOL! Then I found out that Stipa gigantea is called Golden oats!

@Logan Thank you for the update.

Evening everyone,
hope everyone is OK(y)

Had a garden free day today......well almost:) Saw that one of my Hellebores was about to pop their seeds so I quickly gathered them all and sowed them into a couple of big pots:D.

Apart from that it was mostly housework and laundry duties....which I'm a bit ashamed to say have taken 2nd and 3rd place to my garden of late

@alp , I will post pics when they are worth taking.:)..as I grow all my plants from seed they still have a little way to go to catch up with GC ones :(

Still in shock over last nights awful news. My eldest was living there , but moved back down south end of last year...scary :(Mind you all mine are now living in London, a friend of one of my sons was actually on the bridge when that car was crashed into pedestrians, he witnessed it all and is still in deep shock:( Thankfully
eldest's girlfriend's family are all OK and weren't involved in the horrors of last night,

Lovely pics everyone(y)(y)
Whats the strangely weird but nice one;) @alp ?

@tbendl , very nice . Although I do have quite a few shrubs and perennials I love having loads of annuals too, I like my garden to look a little different every year:)

I agree! I've got annuals around a few of my trees now and will maybe add a few around the outside of the border. It's hard to find stuff that like the full hot sun in that spot. I'm a newbie and still learning what is what.

I'm glad your family is ok, I just can't believe that people have that much hate in their lives to want to do that much harm to others.
I hope you and yours have a lovely evening!

Hi everyone before I go to bed. Perhaps, I should go to bed at 10.30. I begin to think I sleep like a baby. LOL!

@tbendl the big iris that you see love hot sun and drought resistant. Also cistus. I am a newbie too, confused over milkweed and butterfly weed. LOL!

@Upsy Daisy It is a time of flux.. Shame that in this day and age, people can be controlled by so many different horrible things and hatred can run so deep.

@MaryMary .. Haha, literally! LOL! I also have wheat grown from bird foods

The bird is a female American goldfinch. That volunteer sunflower under the feeder is the only way I was able to get them into my yard! (y) :) I quickly put up a thistle feeder, and they still come around.

I have also raised some wild teasel seeds just to attract goldfinches. Hopefully, I can beat @johnny canoe bird photos!

Yesterday's cookery class - Apple crumble, but we were only dished out half of our handiwork. The icecream from my own freezer. See, I was not greedy! LOL!
