Thanks Logan!
Did you say 24 or 26C?? @alp? We get up into the 40's C with around 85%+ humidity. You walk outside and it's like you're wearing a wet wool blanket.
Today it's only 27C with 68% humidity and feels marvelous! Lol

Oooops! I shouldn't have complained. 40C!:eek::eek:! Hope you have air con in the house! Just the thought of 36C makes me cry! 40C is like desert temperature or temperature in India..We are going to have 30C

I have this allergy. If I work in the sun or walk under the tree in hot weather, I will have heat rash coming out of my hand. Yesterday, I had to scratch one arm to release the itch and it drew a bit of blood.

How do you keep cool at 40C? @tbendl ?

Good morning to all and it's cool outside. Seems to be very pleasant now. Going to mow the lawn which was covered with trimmings from protruding shrubs and littered with pots. I have returned them to their rightful place. So mowing the lawn and I will put down some shrubs to give the borders some structure. Whatever you do today, have a happy gardening day!

We are right there with you in the heat and humidity. I hate it as well. I've got to do stuff in the early morning or later afternoon or it wears me out. That's beautiful!
I went out into the bayou this weekend. It's so pretty. Here's a few shots of it.

Will be around 30C here today. I took all the shelving out of my GH and planted my Tomatoes in their forever pots. In the heat this afternoon I will power wash the patio of a customer, the patio happens to be surrounded with large trees keeping me in the shade. Yesterday I was resting my feet in a bucket of cold water every so often, it helps to ease my discomfort with the restless leg syndrome and my feet and legs feeling like they are being slow roasted. Then I took the water my feet had been in and watered each Tomato as it was planted. lol

I drink a lot.... Lol You can't. Beach is close by and we go to the islands during the summer which is about 45 minutes away, we just float in the water and try to stay cool.
When I work outside it is slow going and I follow the shade. It took me a few years to acclimate, I'm from Hawaii and we didn't have this kind of weather either. But the winters are mild and I do like the change of season. :)
I did put some new flowers in last night. They aren't all planted but I think they will grow in nicely and cover that bare area pretty well. Hoping the rain will pass so I can finish up!

@Upsy Daisy In all that heat! I really admire you. I was a coward. 100 plants. I wish you could take a pic. I planted out 20 and I wanted to kill myself as I had no room, but £1, I really can't resist them. £1 for 6 to 9 healthy plants. What was the fuss about seeds???

You must have a big garden, Upsy Daisy!

Share some of mine

OK, it is a pathetic bud, but it's from last year's plant and it's my first flower. Anemone.

Can't remember the name again. I am fascinated by them.

@tbendl Glad that you have water so close by. Soon, you can dip your legs in the pond. Or get a big umbrella over the lawn or a shade as it might help. I usually love the April to May here, but this year, everything is messed up by the gulf stream. Today, thankfully, as been very clement. The sun has just come out. Was thinking of going out to do more levelling, but after a bit of Apple crumble and ice cream, I crumbled and crashed out ..LOL!

I can see you have quite a bit of annuals. It might be a good idea to get some perennials as they can be nice constants, saving you buying annuals all the times. I always love perennials, but be careful, perennials are plants when you first have them, soon they become weeds as some might take over. Lovely pond. I saw someone asking for free pond plants in Freecycle. Amazingly clever as pond plants are famous for being very dear!

Ah, thank you. I uploaded these this morning after reading @Upsy Daisy 's post. I think I might have suffered from dementia .. I forgot to click Post Reply again. Then I found out that I forgot to lock the garage door. It had been left open from 8.15 to 11am. mamamai!
