They do great in pots, required to repot once a year to divide the bulb to get new plants and to give more space to grow. It has sweet strong smell.

Thanks for the advice! I bought it for the sake of aroma and I want to save it. Now tuberose sprouts in a small pot. The leaves are already visible. Tomorrow I will transplant into a large pot. :)

@Rajesh Sethi I must get hold of this polianthes tuberosa. Lovely anything with a perfume! But not hyacinth though! Er, nah!

@Larisa My garden is in a constant mess. All my pots are now in the lawn to drink the rain water and I have found out that I now have to find new room for some of them.

Love to see your flowers, Rajesh and Larisa .. two extremes India and Russia.. Oven and freezer!

Can't resist taking a photo of this one. so photogenic

A crimped california poppy. I haven't had that many this year.

OK, I know I'm obsessed with new and first flower! Please bear with me. I wish you were here to see the velvety sheen in this Dark Eye, I think. Don't ask me about names. I plant them all close to one another so that I can have a good show.

Thank you, Logan. Trouble with iris is that they flower for 2 or 3 days and the rest of the year, they sulk.. I remember Rachel de Thames has a book on longest flowering plants. I might have made a mistake. Love that shrub in GW.. with layered white flowers which are on for a month. Still too short for me!

@alp.That's the trouble with perennials, a lot flower once and that's it until next year. Same with shrubs and trees. Need something like annuals, but they do take a lot of work. You need interest all the year. I like Monty's jewel garden.

@marlingardener I bought some online and in the end, I didn't see one flower, not to say reblooming. Got the refund. Bought some from another company, but they are not reblooming. 3 out of 8 have got flowers. Very beautiful though. Have you had any reblooming yourself or just that you know they exist. I must try that again when I move as they are very low maintenance and I do love them. They are very happy with the dry weather here in Essex.

That's a good link. Love the info and must google those names. I love Mother Earth and Jennifer Rebecca most. Thank you @marlingardener Nice article.

Alp, you are most welcome! I have two reblooming iris--they bloom in April and again in October. Sorry I can't tell you their names--they were planted when we lived in town, and came with me when we moved to the farm, and in the intervening years I've forgotten who they are!
