Good morning to all - quiet, dark and autumnal. Going to upload our trip to the zoo in Virtual Tour later. Going to remove some taller shrubs in the garden to aid air flow and improve air quality, so expect a lot of muscle work.

Thank you so much for the name. The scent is exquisite and not heady at all. A lady's perfume while hypericum leaf perfume is for me! I love that scent. I always squash the leaves and inhale!

From yesterday. This is supposed to be from the same dahlia - a sorry form of Paso doblé

It has always been hidden by the cosmos cupcuake. I lifted the latter up and tied it in a big clump, revealing a mildewy aster, some gazaniaz and the first of this flower.

This could be Jamaica

Was uploading tons of photos (not very good, time to upgrade my camera and SD cards) https://www.gardening-forums.com/threads/virtual-tour.14301/page-3

Hope some kids will enjoy looking at the photos. The kid in me had a good time at the zoo! A most enjoyable trip. This time, I actually got in the patting farm. We usually ended the journey there and I was too tired to go in. This time, I made it. They are lovely animals .. so nice to see the guinea pig!

Well done, Zenj ! Delphiniums are really beautiful plants. I need to put mine in a better position to see if they will be fooled to flower again. Have removed some trees and bamboos and I am going to continue with my hard labour!

A nice sunny for nearly all of us! Have a nice day!

We had found out that the cistus x 2 and this yew tree blocked the air flow and trapped the air in our garden, so this morning I disrobed the tree and uprooted one cistus and another half removed so as to retain the nursery bed.

Look at my lawn.. I have totally given up.

Another horror story

Life's STILL a beach! Determined Britons spend day at the seaside in mild 60F sun... as fearsome Arctic blast threatens SNOW and -7C chills tonight
  • Blast of Arctic air will make it feel like -7C in parts of the UK and could bring snow in some places
  • Despite chilly start much of country had sunny Saturday and some Britons even headed to beach
  • Temperatures are expected to plummet tongiht after dropping to an icy -3.4C overnight on Friday

    The typo is not mine!

The weather has been gorgeous. In fact, it was quite hot in the car! Bought 4 pelargonium (£1 each) and one Weigela middendorffiana for £4

This to look forward to if the plant doesn't die on me.:LOL:

Thank you for making me cackle! I will take some cuttings. Has it flowered at all, Zenj? Or just a few flowers. I really shouldn't have bought it as it was £4. Not cheap at all. Last time I bought a Daphne and it has already died on me.

I need to have my head examined. Viburnum Shasta for £2 I didn't buy and yet this one I paid £4. I just watched Garden Rescue and Charlie was using Wild Swan anemone again. I am so mad at myself. It wouldn't have died if I hadn't had so many plants. I totally forgot about it and it was left on the border which was even hotter than the ground. Must move as I was out cutting the branches up and 4 doors away, some music was BOOOOMMMING the ground. It went on for nearly 2 hours for as long as I was out there. Fancy sharing a wall with this household.

And the real McCoy was not muffled as heard from the video.

Oh dear! I think next time I should look for a AGM logo!

Did it cost you a lot for your car, Zenj?

I hope you know some good mechanics. Don't use Halford as they rip people off. I had 2 good tyres put in by them and they advised us to change the brake pad and the brake disc as well whilst Glyn Hopkins said the disc was OK. Halford then said they would replace the next brake disc free. We went to another garage who said that that disc could do a further 30k miles.

Trying to watch Monty's Australian and New Zealand garden and I fell asleep again and again. Could have been a long day for me because we worked from 9 till 11.30 and then from 3 to 5 in the afternoon.

Good night everybody!
