True....in normal circumstances I would totally agree, it is his garden!(y)

But he is being paid to do a job!! As I said....'time and place ' (y)

And yes working in childcare and with government regulations and OFSTED to contend with.......you can't be clean enough, especially with anything connected with food!:)(y)

@Upsy Daisy You have been TRAINED as a child-minder and that training has helped you appreciate the importance of hygiene. We have to remember some people are not trained in a discipline and hence have their own way of doing things. A girl was cleaning her contact lens with her fingers on a plane and the doctor sitting next to her kindly pointed out that she could be blinded by such a procedure. To a layman, cleaning contact lens with bare fingers and going blind would NEVER GO in one sentence, just as a The Paper reviewer, Greer, said, "I can't understand how anti-Semitism and the Labour Party can be put in one sentence!" (not talking about politics here)... Just an analogy! Not a tribal political party supporter!

One can't breathe any sense into a debate if people are unwilling to be dealing with facts even if they are staring at them in their face and are determined to have their last say!

View attachment 43638 View attachment 43639 Tomatoes are out of control lol :) so many tomatoes have had to support branches just need them to ripen :)

Nice. Glad that you have immortalised it. Might be a good idea to date it as well. Magical stuff! Caught up with The Beechgrove about the use of seaweed fertiliser! So hilarious. Because of that bought some more fertiliser with seaweed. Can't wait to get your comfrey, @Leeski ! Couldn't buy any seeds in Wyevale. They have about over 600 seed packets unsold. All lumped into plastic tubs. They have phacelias and other green manure but no comfrey! The man in Beechgrove called it Biological accumulator:D! What a name!

Hi there @alp, just come in for breather!:)
Agree Lidl do have have good plants from time to time.(y)

I dread the time to plant out the bulbs, I dug mine up to store and after leaving them to dry I couldn't distinguish between them!!!
Oh well that will end up another botched looking planting display!!

I really must crack this labelling malarkey!!!

Been out all day ripping out and reorganizing plants in a border that I was never really happy with. It had the type of plants that multiply by the million, so for the first time I've been ruthless and chucked out most of them. I have just left tiny pieces with this years growth on, now I have plenty of space for winter bedding. Fingers crossed it will look more loved and cared for :)(y)

Can't work out there. It's very hot in Essex! I have quite a few in various pots and some of them are like layered cake, so no hope of labelling. I bought 3 cornus and 6 arrived. Now I have found only 2:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:. So it has to be Cloud 9 or the red one Miss Sutomi and the label is now pure white. The seller wrote it down. I have now cut 6 milk bottles into labels. But I'm as hopeless as you, even with all the will in the world to try! My aim is to reduce the number of pots lying around as the more pots I have, the more I will push back and I will soon forget those at the back. I must make a target of 10 a days to put them into the borders rather than having them lying around .. Very messy and they perish before I remember having them.

Yes it's way too hot here now. Thankfully that is the one border that is shaded by the house until about 2pm ,but clearing up in the full sun after that time was really too much. Came in to cool off inside but hubs is still out there so will go back out with a cuppa!(y)

Make sure he's not exposed to too much sun. Sunshine is very strong still. One can't be too careful. Now, don't tell me that you lot have tough skins and will never have anything dodgy! Or I will give up trying to be nice:banghead::banghead::banghead:. It's very taxing for me to be nice as I am not nice in nature at all:eek::LOL:. So it is a humongous effort even trying to be!

Oh, dear! You know full well that I am not an expert. I don't even know the difference between morning glory and bind weed! LOL! Very embarrassing. Nearly wanted to buy a double pink morning glory! Son warned me in no uncertain terms! So, no! Also double is not beneficial to bees ..

Going to make dinner now. Loads of delegating to do before my apprentice enjoys rambling along the Essex coast!:LOL:

Well, he will be a good husband to some lucky girl - that's the goal! Not that I'm lazy!

Oh, crumbs! Mustn't make you re-visit old wounds - enough travail for a day!:eek:! Must engage the last brain cell I have to remember not to tread on old wound!

I might be joking - I need to count my blessings!

No worries....just thankful it was all cleared, my cousin died from the same thing at about the same age as I was . Hers was on the face and mine was on my leg. 10 years of regular checkups....and for me luckily , all was good.:)(y)

Picked these up today, very happy for 6 plants for £3. Last year I planted the foxgloves in October and they made huge plants before flowering in their first year (foxy variety).

I decided to purchase some wallflowers too as I loved Logan’s display this year
