Yes it is free :) lots of garden goodies if their flower show stalls are anything to go by. Cottage garden style plants, some more unusual than others

Love to be nosy and love posh nurseries - will certainly will a look! Thank you for the heads up, Mark!

Busy day in the garden not stopped all day got tonnes done :)
Joined all my water butts together with and over flow system , finished my compost system just got to paint it :)
And got loads of good stuff to pick up from freegle best being free compost and worm castings :)

Something simple for dinner then watch the last episode of the bodyguard- looking forward to it that’s if I can stay awake
Hope everyone has had a good day :)

Worm castings? Please take a photo. Was thinking of giving away my wine brewing bottles x 4 until we saw a man buying them in Wilko. Turned out to be £8 each. Quids in:eek::LOL: - I hope!

Just watched a bit of cricket - Joyous day .. and Hamilton won the grand prix! But the disconcentrating Mr J is still here!:LOL:

Well done, @Leeski ! Son use 2 pairs to connect 4 butts. Very useful and a brilliant idea!

Picked these up today, very happy for 6 plants for £3. Last year I planted the foxgloves in October and they made huge plants before flowering in their first year (foxy variety).

I decided to purchase some wallflowers too as I loved Logan’s display this year

I love foxgloves as well and wonder if I had kept the Pam split.. I have collected quite a bit of other seeds, but just dumped them on the nursery bed. Keep my fingers crossed that they will come up next year!

Good buys, Mark and enjoy!

Think worm castings are used as a soil conditioner did have a little search online !
same person is given me walnut & almond seedlings 3 years old so very excited really strange as after watching b g garden was planning on trying to grow walnut tree from seed but got a hedge start :)
Did you find Robinson peas ?
I want to grow them next year.
I have a book that I plan my projects for next year - it’s nearly full already :)
Going to be a busy bee but not a silent bee lol :)

The whole discussion on b g garden about seaweed tea I completely disagree with - the reason it smelt horrid was because it wasn’t ready I have been making seaweed & comfrey tea for years it takes about 2-3 months to peak and stop smelling
It’s like horse poo or chicken poop they need to break down .

Good days shopping there @Mark56 . I spent the day clearing and reorganizing a border and debated whether or not to plant out my Wallflowers now or not. Still undecided.:ROFLMAO:

No, couldn't find it. There were hundreds of seed packets. In the end, got some very boring stuff. Only bought 6 packets. I must say I have more veg seeds this year. After trying all my new toms, I wonder what point there is buying so many packets of Toms. None of mine tasted sweet at all.

Tonight, the air has been most foul and I have had 2 air purifiers on full. Wish I could borrow some people clean garden to sleep in!

Aww @alp ,is it because of the hopeful house move? Just keep planting in pots, then they will be able to move with you (y)

You can sleep in my garden.....the motorway can sound very soothing at night :ROFLMAO:

:ROFLMAO::banghead:Thank you sooooo much! I have to open the small bedroom window all the time - now which is worse - exhaust fumes or Monkey Dust air?

When I saw how big the hibiscus leaves (plant in border) are, compared with those in pots. The former beats the latter hands down.

Off to bed now.

Good morning: Just done the rubbish and will prepare a letter to be posted. Weed the block paving at the front and edge the front lawn. That's the plan any way.

A bit greyer than yesterday. 22c max should be ideal weather for my first jobs.

Here comes the latest weather prediction

Brace yourself for 'BBQ autumn'! Sunseekers enjoy today's 79F heat as forecasters say Britain's Indian Summer could last until CHRISTMAS
  • Much warmer conditions than normal are expected in lead up to Christmas with temperatures of 32C (90F)
  • Sunbathing could be on the cards in October during 24C (75F) sizzles and highs of 20C (68F) in November
  • School summer holidays wound down this weekend with beach-goers enjoying final days of August sunshine

    Lovely pic in Kent!
