Any way, another headache is that I have 16 packs of Rustic flour which will expire Nov 2018!:eek:

You can probably stretch that date by a couple months! (y)

The best way to store flour is in its original container in the pantry, but also inside of a plastic bag or airtight container. All varieties last for a longer period of time if they are stored in a cool, dry environment. It should also be kept in a vapor proof container because the powder easily absorbs nearby odors and chemicals from anything around. When the bag is opened, it can be poured into another air tight container. Or, the original bag can be placed inside of a plastic bag for extra protection. The shelf life of whole grain flour can be extended by several months by storing it in the fridge or freezer, but this is not recommended for white flour as the expiration depends upon it remaining completely dry.

No rain here, lovely sunny day.
Have potted up the Strawberries in readiness for next year.
Think I've found my long lost Hellebore ....:)
Potted up some seedlings from another Hellebore too(y)

Had an enjoyable morning in my messy greenhouse taking more trailing Fuchsia cuttings and sorting out the Bacopa seeds from the chaff. Next ' must do ' is actually cleaning and tidying the greenhouse:oops: :shame:

I opened the cupboard and could smell the nasty odour from next door. They were originally out of the box, I had to take a photo of the date to send to Amazon

After that I quickly put them in 3 boxes and put the cleaning materials there instead. No laughing matter. I am pretty sure the odour will permeate the flour and I might hallucinate after consuming it. We had to open all windows the whole day. Thank heavens that we were wall papering one room. A lot of "discussions" between the workers!:LOL:

My lean-to is so much worse and the alley where the water butts are resembles a drought site in India! Pot, tubs, crates, all sort of containers line the alley. Today, I only wallpapered the big bedroom as the wall paper before was far too busy and gave me headache! I need to get out of here and take in some fresh air!

LOL! Don't worry about going to heaven or hell! Death is death. Period. As long as you think you've done your fair share, that's OK. Chicken poo is supposed to be good - I think they say it won't burn the roots. I could be very wrong. I need to scale down and tidy up the garden or I'm stuck here. Day lilies can be very pretty - I have a red one and when it flowered, it was most photogenic! Quite unlike my tiny little Thalictrum flowers which were impossible to focus on!

Some repeats, as usual!

Lovely flowers @alp you could put the bags of flour in plastic bags as they are. I do that with mine because it goes mouldy in my cubboard. I use bag clips to close them.:)

Thank you, Logan! I will do that. I think I will use it every day until it's finished. We have bread nearly every day.

Hehe! I love it so much I bought 2 more at £2 each, separately, of course. I really love that kind of colour and generally, I love all savlias, with Patens, Joy, Amistad my favorites! @Perki was worried that I would have nothing to concentrate my effort after hellebore season.

Must do a lot of baking. Flour has a short shelf life.

Good morning to all!

Yes, @La Garden - we will use it every day (probably not Sunday) every day. We now have them for free as i have a refund. But so stressful as 16 x 1.5kg is a bit much. Trouble is I can't even bought it in supermarket. Now they sell them via eb**, but much more expensive.

@Leeski Glad that you have a bit of time gardening before work. How are all your seedlings? I do not dare to take too many cuttings as I am virtually running out of space. I have room in the lean-to but the extremes in temperature and lack of moisture are big problems.

A sunny day. Was supposed to go to B&Q to use my last day of grace for 10% reduction for some drain cleaner. But was so tired after the wall papering, we just wanted to eat! So another one of Lidl's sweetcorns and all pleasures in life are restored.

Seedlings survived there battering lost a few but not as many as I feared.
I’m in same boat as you running out of space :-(
How come you use so much flour?
Making bread daily at a guess ?
