Can't drink alcohol either. Face will turn purple. They said it's because we are not programmed as the British who have been used to alcohol. Just as well. A good full bodied wine costs around a tenner! It's not cheap!

Is bicarbonate of soda the same as baking soda please? I think I have used the wrong ingredient! Instead of baking soda, I used bicarbonate of soda to try to unblock the drain with hot water and vinegar!

To be honest....never did like the taste of alcohol in any form really anyway. But went out socialising people still tend to think you are a bit of a party pooper if you don't at least have one... @nowadays I don't care.... older and ( maybe:LOL:) wiser, my health comes first!:)(y)

Don't care about status @alp ....wasn't sure if it was understandable:LOL::ROFLMAO:...... if any of mine are!!
I always type the negative in positive form. Probably too difficult to find the apostrophe n't! Or no "s" after a plural noun - like the French, we don't bother about "s" in plurals!

Haha! Just corrected my aberration!

@Leeski You're so young. Have a go. Not going to harm you. You will be a more varied and interesting person. Yes, go for it.

My mum made rice wine and when it fermented, it smelt strange but it was delicious! She put the whole gadget under the bed!:LOL:! But it worked.

@Upsy Daisy Son was impressed and said that it actually worked where the mixture can reach, but the back bit will need more. I will do it first thing tomorrow morning. Thank you for the heads up!

I have just solved the saga with Amazon. Ordered

2 lots of PLAINED unbleached white organic
2 lots of STRONG unbleached white organic
3 lots of wholemeal
2 lots of Rustic (8 packs each)

Those stupid names can turn your eyes starry and brain foggy! I thought I had 2 lots of the white, so cancelled the ones coming today. Turned out that I had only received 1 lot of the TWO different white. Any way, another headache is that I have 16 packs of Rustic flour which will expire Nov 2018!:eek:

Any way, I have now been refunded for the 2 lots of Rustic 16 packets .. What a relief! Imagine how 2 of us can consume 16 x 1.5kg of flour within such a short period of time!

Is anybody else having rain. Mine has now more or less stopped. Very happy. The alley between the workshop and the kitchen is now full of tubs, buckets, trays of water. And I am wet and cold, which calls for another cuppa!
