Sorry to hear about your dad upsy :( I hope he cheers up soon.

@Leeski - I got the blue agapanthus from lidl a few years ago for £1 so it just a bob standard Africanus, the white one called white superior I think. I have two more jacks blue and Midnight star.

Perki Midnight Star is very beautiful. I am after @Leeski's seeds! Perki, you need to get some certificates. You're too good to waste your talents. Such beautiful hanging baskets. Hope you have a well-established business already. Don't waste what heavens have given you for FREE!

OK, finish being bossy (Now, is there such a thing?) Morning totally ruined.

1) No rain. Not even 1 cm in any butts
2) Another butt of water gone - did another hour of watering and my eyes :cry::cry::cry::cry:
3) Milk has turned sour, supposed to expire on 12th.
4) No new flowers. My big brassy dinner plate hasn't even thrown out a stem.

Morning ...another ' lets see what surprise weather we get today' day!!
Promised rain never materialised, so need to water the garden this morning now.

Not doing much in the garden at the moment, it's just a case of keeping things alive and tidy.....not a lot else can be done when the ground has turned to concrete!:(

Have a good day :)(y)

I normally don't take pics early in the morning

Not many new flowers

Zinnia is a bit blurred

Cupcake cosmos - a real disappointment!

Gallardia

This could be the Deer Antler dahlia from J Parker

Single hibiscus

I took the photographs because of this bird. At first, I thought it was a dead corpse stuck to the end of a branch. I then realised that it was with a mouthful of worms. It stayed on the branch for a whole 3 minutes. The rain must have brought the worms out. Early bird catch the worms!

Yes, I saw it and it was very still, thought it was dead. Then saw its breakfast and extra. Went indoors and got my camera. Despite the flash, it stayed on. Then I took a pic of the zinnia and lifted up my camera, it flew away. It must have been pregnant with food.

Leeski: Have you solved the problem of having no garlic? Garlic smells divine whilst being cooked. Rosemary and garlic make the kitchen smell so welcoming!

@Upsy Daisy It must have been so pregnant with his breakfast that it couldn't move. I thought it was a dead bird. It kept turning it's head. Amazing that the flash didn't bother it at all.

Garlic will work with anything. Hope Leeski's partner is equally a big fan of garlic. As the French say, in the case of garlic, you have to join in. Resistance is futile!

Beef Bourguignon was ok I usually use shin of beef but my butcher had none so did it with brisket and no bones for stock how can a butcher have no bones is beyond me !
Have a little elephant garlic but guess I’m just going to have to purchase some (hate spending £ ) but needs must - most in my house love garlic and those who don’t are none the wiser ;-)

Morning all,:) been busy today. Hubby's sister is having the old TV so had to help him get it in the garage. It was heavy and now I've got numbness in my legs, even that I lifted it properly but it will go off. Did some vaccuming and dusted, cleaned the kitchen a bit.:)

Lovely pics @alp that bird must have chicks.:)

Yes @Upsy Daisy not much to do in the garden, need to do some weeding, but i make the excuse that it's too hot and as you said it's rock hard.:)

@Leeski glad that your meal went ok.:) Always use garlic these days but buy it. Had a lot rot in the ground, now i can't grow it.:( Only if in containers, but haven't got the room.
