Blame it on all the baked beans @Mark56 ;)

Thanks, yes he has a friend with 2 dogs who visits him now and then. No can't really get into borrowing a dog, he's too frail..luckily his old dog was an exact match...loved tv and snoozing:LOL:

I don't really live near enough ( and am dependent on how my arthritis is on the day) to offer to walk another dog for him either and if I am totally honest ( or maybe just plain selfish:() I have a plate that is overflowing!!:(

Very sad here with him though , cleaned the carpet that she was ' poorly 'on yesterday and have gathered up all unopened food and treats....as it stands at the moment he doesn't want her bed and toys removed....understandable. :(

He's spent the day looking through photos of all his past dogs, I've added some I took a couple of weeks ago of his last one onto his laptop for him too.

Waiting for my brother to come and stay a while....but I think he's forgotten and his carer is due at 5pm so I'm hoping he will come over and spend the evening with Dad after his carer has administered his medication.

I have a 2.5 mile walk home and with this heat and two fused feet it's no joke!!:(
Bless you xx

Hilarious! Match made in heavens. Shame as the loss must be profound.

@Upsy Daisy I hope your hubby will pick you up. Does your older sis live near?

Oh, dear! I wouldn't call you selfish - you have done so much for your family members.

Had 2 spits and now try to let the water into butts into all sorts of ridiculous receptacles - milk bottle, a bigger sized Resolva empty tub, even 2 flour grout white tubs and a kerosene big tub picked up last winter up the road. Now it's stopped and I was trying to fashion ditches around to retain the water. The only thing flowing was my sweat.

Some more snaps from Harlow Carr!

Hehe! I know this one -Zorro! I have exactly the same thing!

Be careful what you wish for! In the summer, you will be toasted and winter frozen .. Which temperature would you prefer!?:LOL:

Buy one of these and plonk a big conservatory on a piece of land. Doable! I would install solar panels to make some money!

I love that white pot with base. Decent pots. I need tons of those. I bought another cornus rubra for £5. Hope it survives. Just took some cuttings of the the cornus rainbow. Need to try.

Hi.....phew I'm home ,very hot but apart from that it was a lovely walk.
I'm very independent @alp and like to do somethings on my own , I have never and will never use hubs as a taxi, he always offers but quite often I decline as I feel he has plans for his days too . He worked well past retirement age and only finished last year and I always managed to get out and about whilst he was at work....and still can do(y)

Having said all that ,apparently he did go over to my Dad's to pick me up, then spent an hour driving around trying to find me, but as there are numerous routes from his place to ours...many are via woodlands.....it proved an impossible task:LOL::LOL:

He has cooked a yummy dinner though......he's the best!!!:D(y)

Just finished my dinner. Son cooked it. The Nando sauce we added was sooooo hot. Bet our breath stink too.

@Upsy Daisy Perhaps you could get a mobile phone - a card costs £10 with 3 and you can use it for a long long time. That way, you can communicate rather than in the dark.

Glad that you have a nice end to the day. How's your dad?
