Shouldn't be a problem if you're a chef. Let yourselves loose one day a week, then the regime doesn't seem to punitive! Don't you think? I slowed cook my pork rather than spending tons of money on crackling pork. Just too expensive and too hot. I think sometimes Tesco can be cheap as well. 49p for 6 flat doughnut peaches - I can easily murder one packet in 2 days. Time to make spaghetti with pedderdew antipasto from Lidl - the best, and some Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (me pretending to be posh and bon viveur!)on top. We both love it. Wish we had prawns.

That sounds exactly like me! I don't even know where my most expensive snowdrop bulbs are?!!!! At the point of sinking the pot to the ground, I asked myself if I should draw a pic and mark the locations. Why didn't I do it? I bet they have been vaporised by the heat.

I have also cut thousands of labels from salt bottle, milk bottle. Should have used the tomorite bottles! All the fool me!

I just make bulk sauces and freeze them down I dehydrate tomato’s, peppers and do a lot of canning / Pickles . Cheap cuts are the best cuts of meat slow cooked are the bees knees !

Hello alp, I think we all have some family members that do questionable things that we don't like. Mom had eight sisters and those ladies could sure have crazy spats among themselves. And one had a famous spat with her husband right out in the open for the whole town to watch.

This is funny actually. So mom and a couple of her sisters had gone into town (small town, no paved roads), and had just left the grocery store, stepping out onto main street. They heard a engine roaring and looked down the road to see my uncle's truck coming flying around the corner and zip right down the street in front of them leaving a cloud of dust in his wake. Standing up in the back of the truck was my mom's sister, screaming at her husband and pounding her fist into the top of the truck cab. Poor fella was trying to get away from her.
Mom always said that that sister of hers drove my uncle to an early grave.

:D:D Yes, the horrible thing is that you can't choose your relatives. My father's only sister married an alcoholic. He's tall and handsome and yet when he had a bit of a drink, there would always be saga! Quite often, he would end up in ditches at night ..

Ditto we have turned into a chuck and no care Society my partner goes mad if we are driving and pass a skip I slow down always thinking :)

I know the feeling. Whenever we drove past a skip, I would tell my son that I wanted something in there - wood newly sawn aromatic clean wood pieces. And what did he do? Refused to stop. I feel like disowning him.

The posh cheese is reduced. Even so, it cost £2.05. Now the meal is to be finished with a galia melon 49p from Tesco.

I must get some recipes from you, Leeski !

For those with chronic unresolved inflammation, the following video might help - his focus was on Diabete type II, but please use 1.25 speed and try to get the gist.

He also mentioned eating 5 different colour vegs and fruits a day!

By all means watch them, but take it with a pinch of salt! He's flogging some books! So beware!

Evening all , you seem to enjoy your holiday Alp :) Glad to see your back upsy I assume the headache has subsided :) I don't see anything wrong with your agapanthus leeski.

Its quite a lot cooler today and cloudy. My lawn nearly dead now, can't remember if I mentioned I weedkilled it about 2 week ago, the grass seed I want is incredibly expensive :( didn't think it be so dear but its sold in 20kg bags, I only need about 5kg really.

Went to Dovecottage nursery yesterday, its not so big but lots of different plants you don't normally see at GCentres. They have a garden you can visit aswell for £3.50 think it goes to charity, nice and naturalistic I'll put some photo on later. It was a nightmare getting there, set off early think they be no traffic but they was a vintage car rally in hebdon bridge, it were chok a block and warm / hot, come back over the hills with nice views and a cool breeze :). I did pick up 2 plants while I was there - salvia phyllis fancy and selinum wallichianum.
