Pulling your leg?? Why ?
Were you really born there?

Went to Wray Castle. Massive pile of rocks and it was very modern inside. Very impressive from the outside.

Then we went to Beatrix Potter's Gallery and then to Hill Top. The latter was so busy that we had to wait for 1 and a half hour just to get in to look at about 6 rooms.

The son drove a lot of time to Allen Bank. The heavens opened and suddenly we had to park the car somewhere else. It was a mess. When they locked the front door, I had to dash under a torrent of rain water which gushed out of the gutter.

I'm surprised moss doesn't grow on humans living here!

Yes Rossendale Lancashire , you've gone past me. My step sister lives in shap just a few miles away from penrith.

Just got home, I am drenched just got caught out with a heavy shower :cautious:

Hahaha! The hotel is IN Shap. She probably works in this hotel. I tell you, it's like the middle of nowhere and I was naive enough to have chosen it because of the stream. I'm a sucker for that. Just googled where Rossendale is. Now I am near your step sister! Yes, we were caught by one at 4pm at Allen Bank Grasmere! I wish we hadn't gone. There was nothing to see and it was a hell of a journey!:cry::cry:

Such lovely flowers. @Zenj ! Your cannas are gorgeous and the colour is stunning. I have red ones and the leaves were full of holes and flowers very small. Could be the heat! Well, I need to blame something else!:eek:

The lily is prolific - a real asset! Lily is so low maintenance and quite drought resistant. You must have fed them well! Pristine, perfect and prolific!

We’ve made a start putting back pots and other bits we moved to shelter and salvage from the high winds of the last 3 days. Probably about half way through.

I’ll have to complain to the GC as the Dahlia I purchased is bishop of Auckland and not Llandaff. Much darker, smaller flowers, not a fan. Bishop of Oxford currently reins supreme

Increasingly, what you buy is not what you get. I bought a Mrs Perry - sort of pink oriental poppy and it turned out to be a red one. Very annoyed.

Mark, please upload your beauty and joy.

@Upsy Daisy Acorn bank is another Project and hence only a few rooms ready. A long journey up to Penrith way and then down to Harlow Carr. A looooong drive. But we were very delighted to have gone to East Riddlesden Hall and the gardener was brilliant. Saw Mother of Pearl penstemon and some others and nearly paid £5 for a Moorheim Beauty. But it has only one slender stalk. So didn't buy it. But the place is lovely. Then we drove to Harrogate. The journey was so long that I nearly thought the place didn't exist. We have 2 and a half lovely hours there!

It's nice.

It's a bit deformed, but beautiful colours nevertheless!

Seeing this in MacBook Pro is such soooo pretty - full of details and lucidity!
