@Leeski Sorry, we are more into flowers than cabbages. It might be a good idea to seal up all the holes and make sure no more butterflies can lay eggs. People use a net and tuck the net right in so that there is no chance for a butterflies to go in.

@Leeski Perhaps someone else can advise you on this.

I have only got 4 butts full and I had 8 going!:cry::cry: After today, there will be no more rain. Ex told me he would siphon the water for me. Hope he knows what to do. I can't afford to use metered water again and again. But 30c is predicted again ..

Yes, a lot of white butterflies flitting around. Also some others. The heat and sunshine has brought them out. Be careful if you have cabbages.

Upsy :(:(We are due more wind tomorrow, you are probably the same? Perhaps not quite as bad as the relentless last 2 days. From one extreme to another by the end of the week!

Evening all , sorry to hear about the damage its very disheartening. Its not as windy today as expected but the rain had a go at flatting everything instead, good job I put some iron stakes with helenium moerhium Beauty otherwise it would of been snapped, quick knock about to get the water off and they almost stand back to where they should be, they are trying to swap/kill agastache black adder though going to move them down when the time is right.

I've noticed lots of cabbage white this year, I had some caterpillars eating my tomatoes plants last week.

I've never seen them go for tomatoes before, I was quite surprised myself. Where are you heading to next alp?

They must be very hungry! Next, Beatrix Potter Top Hill and gallery, Wray Castle. I can't wait to leave this grotty hotel.

I am so glad that there has been rain all over the country. Apparently, there were fires in Peak district.
