The Lake District is so stunning, Hubs and I had a camping holiday there and we pitched our tent right on the edge of a lake ..it was so peaceful and beautiful. Mind you it was years ago now, before we had the boys.

I am at Penrith, Cumbria but no lake in sight. All landlocked and with a stream.

Yes Rossendale Lancashire , you've gone past me. My step sister lives in shap just a few miles away from penrith.
