Definitely is crazy :((y)

What is? I lost track of the conversation.

We went to Stowe - a lovely place, but chopped up into school, golf course and today the House was closed for WEDDING again. After driving 1 and a half hour only to be told there was a wedding on.

Can't upload much as it is a hotel stay. I was horrified to find out that the stay might cost £40 just for car park. Then we were told that it was £3 when the website said it was free. The receptionist then told me there would be complimentary breakfast whilst the website said no.

The photo above was part of STOWE.

Here is a topiary in Tatton Park

The Japanese garden is fantastic

Oh, dear!:cry::cry: So sad that plants got battered and broken!:cry::cry:

It was very windy in Stowe in Buckinghamshire. It rained at times. I was very lucky to have a space for the buggy ferrying the old and invalid. I nearly hurled myself on the seat! The drive to the reception was very long and after that there was another long walk to the places of interest.

We were very lucky with the weather in Tatton Park. The Japanese garden was fabulous. But we were not allowed into the area! I am worried as to how we can drive up to Cumbria tomorrow. I nearly wanted to stay home.

Kingston Lacey is like that, not allowing you in their Japanese Gardens too, but they are stunning to look at :)

That's a real shame as I just kept uuuuuu aaaaa all around the area! It has a Shinto Shrine, an Almond eye bridge! Stunning!

Hi , had quite a bit of heavy rain and winds, had to move all the pots of dahlias from round the front to the side where its more sheltered, I had to stake everyone of them due to the wind bashing them around, weather supposed to be worse tomorrow with more rain and stronger winds. Was going to Chorley flower show today which is a good run out on the bike over the tops but didn't fancy it due to the unpredictable weather :( tomorrow a no too.

I sprayed the lawn on Wednesday with weedkiller, its be due to resow with grass seed in 3-4 weeks but a lot of prep work to be done with rotavating / levelling etc.

Yes, Perki Make sure you take precaution now that @Mark56 and @Upsy Daisy have given you proper warning. The Met Office has frightened me no end. The whole area I want to cover today is covered with a sea of deep blue and gale force wind. Need to have breakfast assp and start the car 8am. Hopefully, we will be in Levens Hall in one piece. Brollies are in the car. I nearly didn't want to come. But son likes to roam ..

Isn't this Shinto Shrine a beauty?

One good advantage of living along the flight paths for you, @Zenj ! I only see tons of planes and vapour trails. The only other exciting them I saw was a Chinook going to the air cadet place near here, probably!
