My elbow still registered 29c and I didn't hold anywhere near the mercury. Very vicious bite. Had tea tree neat on various parts. No bite this morning, but I am stinking tea tree. Watered for another hour. Hope you all have rain. I am not sure if I will have any. If this window shuts, more of my money will be down the drain hole.

Very grey here.and I think a comfortable day ahead. No rain for me, as usual!

A woman from Ofwat has a funny announcement

Stop using tap water for gardening and car washes and recycle bathwater and catching rain instead, says watchdog

• Head of Ofwat Rachel Fletcher insisted families should switch to other sources
• More homes will have to install water butts as pressure on water supply grows
• She said that using treated water for gardens and to wash cars is 'inappropriate

Bright sunshine here today, no rain for us either today

Ouch !! That looks painful @alp !!! You must have sweet blood, mine is bitter I think

Not a lot can be done in the garden really, so having a day off Going over to see sis and my gorgeous great nephew then hubs and I are going to have a meal out somewhere.......that's the plan anyway.

' Catch rain'.........if I was able to do that, I would go out and buy a lottery ticket!!!

Ummm! I smell a cake!

We have absolutely no sunshine and I am NOT moaning. So glad that the watering can do its job without sunshine evaporating the lot, but it's freezing here! Here comes my twin - Moana!

Sorry ,I know the colour isn't good, but I find it easier to take pics and post immediately from my tablet.....but I can honestly assure you the colours are more vivid in real life

Same here. It came out 11am and I had to retreat into the house. Planted out about 10 hellebores and found a fat slug hidden in one.

@Upsy Daisy You have some lovely healthy plants. I have quite a few plants died from rotting and being thirsty!
