Morning, another bright, sunny day and not a rain cloud in sight!

Yes it's a truly shocking crime, it must be absolutely awful for parents/ family and friends waiting to get closure on their loved one's murder.
But equally the same applies to all those who have be subjected to a miscarriage of justice too.
A very sad and ,as you say @alp , tragic event :(

Despite the hot weather it hasn't stopped my hair from growing...in fact it seems to have accelerated it!!!!! So that's my main job this morning, getting it mowed !!

To be truthful I am disappointed in my Easter Star..it is mixed with a lot of plain yellow ones and, ( probably my fault:shame:) ,it's also become tall and floppy

Have a good, hopefully slightly cooler day :)

Good morning, Upsy!

Easter Star hasn't flowered, apart from the yellow one.

I have found out that my finger nails have grown very fast. Seems to be a lot of side effects from the heat. I am lucky that we have clouds from the east, so it's cloudy and very comfortable. Killed more than 10 slugs / snails this morning. Definitely a day to get out and weed, weed. Need to water the front. Oh, dear! I am dreading the water bill and I feel so sorry for the farmers in East Anglia .. I weed and you mow!

Very nice garden and so many curvaceous windy paths .. @Upsy Daisy What is the massive clump of tree hedge - tree used in Powys - called please? I always want one. The one in the middle of the last photo. I know it is very common, but I never get to learn its name. Very annoying - cloudy and lots of grey clouds, but they have no energy to rain .. and just drifting here and there. I have about 8 blueberry shrubs. The pink lady are still being draped with green minnows. I love Blue Jay most as the fruits look different from those from Patriots and others. I hope I can enjoy them before the birds do.

What a lovely day! No sun! Hurrah!

I know if I google Powys castle, I might be able to get it. Was working happily outside. Had to come in as I was worried son was practising with foul air spewing out. In the end, I climbed up right to the top of the house (I'm telling you - now I know why women stayed married:eek:!) holding a tray of homemade filler and filled up 2 air-bricks. I know I really shouldn't be doing that, but rather than moaning, I sprang or crawled into action. 2 filled up and I hope they stay blocked)

Now that the sun has come out, I'd rather come in.

Relief might be on the way

Enjoy the sun while it lasts! Storm Chris could bring end to Heatwave Britain with cooler weather and even maybe some RAIN on way for the weekend
  • Met Office says tropical storm Chris is currently building on US east coast is predicted to become a hurricane
  • Hurricane across the Atlantic may 'influence' Britain's hot weather possibly bringing wind and rain next week
  • 'Blip' expected in hot weather is seeing temperatures across the UK drop before increasing again by weekend

Unfortunately, it seems to be counting chicks before they are hatched!

Chris has not even been conceived!

Met Office spokeswoman Nicola Maxey said while storm Chris will affect the UK, 'we cannot tell what that influence will be at the moment because it is still developing'.

There is still 'uncertainty' about the possible track it will take and it would be an ex-hurricane by the weekend when it may hit the UK.

Much-needed rain is on the way but it is still too early to write off the summer as warm weather is still expected over the coming week.

We are 10c above average. I bet it's SW England bearing the blunt and Essex not even a spit!

I am so fed up with this heat and the daily watering. It will be worse if there is a hoseban. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Hope you pain is under control? What was Hampton Court like? It seems to be Monty has disappeared from the Malvern and Hampton!

And they think we're going to win the football! France is through, AGAIN!
