Good morning to all! Woke up an hour ago and started water. Suddenly, the water became a trickle. Then realised that the dishwasher and washing machine were on! To crown it all, son forgot to extend the hose, so it couldn't reach the end of the garden. Quite annoying. Got another mossie bite in the left hand elbow and it's now itchy and burning hot.

I think I need to consider printing my next house

The future of building? Watch the French 'builderbot' that 3D printed a family home for five in in just 54 hours
  • A team of experts in France constructed the first 3D printed house to serve as a residence for a family of five
  • They built the 1,022-square-foot house using a novel BatiPrint 3D printing process which can construct walls
  • In all, it only took two days and six hours to build the home, but they believe it can be done in just 33 hours
  • The process is environmentally friendly and at $207,000 (£176,000), costs 20% less than traditional methods

I will make sure this printed new house of mine won't have any airbricks for me to fill.

Yes, all cloudy and heavy with cloud rain, but NO rain. By Friday, everybody ELSE will have rain, but NOT me!:cry:

I am demented or depressed ..

On a brighter note, Another lily has bloomed! Another cosmos cupcake has opened, but I might have been short changed.

They are supposed to be like these

I can only see the crown/saucer bits. Will the the dish come out later?

And the Easter flower is nowhere to be seen.

Is today some anniversary of yours, @Upsy Daisy ?

Another terrible teaser! I have had so many of these lately! My agapanthus alba is still teeeeeasing!

Hydrangea Paniculata Wim's Red. I googled it and saw one which was BLOOD RED! How strange!

Feel like renaming it Wim's White/Pink!

Finally I have my Echnops and too many for my likings

Another lily plant - very delicate scent. Unlike the oriental ones!

SAM_0877.JPG

The milk bottle is a failed experiment!

Polka is a bit complicated

SAM_0874.JPG

When I first saw this plant, I though it was something else - Hibiscus Trionum. It turned out to be this purple beauty. Funny thing is like it has a most distinctive seed

Planted a 3 salvia cuttings out. Jeans Jewel, Ultra violet and one unknown. Then the sun scared me stiff. Excuse to have lunch ..

Evening!
Not a bad day heat wise, though at one time it looked like thunder was on it's way....but no.

Had a great positive day at at bro's new place......he seems really ,really happy and almost back to his jokey self again. Makes all the hard work of the last 6mths absolutely worthwhile:):)(y)

I was going to ask you that. Thinking about this meeting while son's driving. Glad that your bro has been having some joy. Life must have been unbearable for him as well as for you and your sis. I remember how depressed you were when you had the meetings in which your bro had a bit of self-denial. Hope you can finally relax and unwind.

I felt one or 2 spits. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, I am dead, or rather my plants are dead. The air in my house has been so hot that indoor plants are dying. You know all my camellia cuttings from "auntie"? They are now dodo!:rage:

Apparently, the best time to do it is end of July and August. When I come back from holiday, I will start doing that AGAIN!:banghead::banghead::banghead: They would have worked if the air hasn't been so dry.

Thanks @alp, yes I am so relieved, sis and I were so scared that he might suddenly regret the move. Phew!!:)

We have a weather warning in place for potential heavy thunderstorms on Friday...mmmmm we'll see ;)

Yes I had failures with all my Camellia cuttings too ,so I am going to have another go too(y) Fingers crossed that we are successful next time:)

I have 2 more Gladiolis coming out into bloom both are orange I think, hopefully I'll be able to take a pic tomorrow as there wasn't much to see of them today(y)

Lost again! Shame! Overpaid primadonnas! Glad that no more hype in the papers.

I saw an orange echinacea reduced from £8 to £4. I didn't buy it as it was so expensive. Would love to have one though.

£1 for an acer, but it was a very boring one. So saved some money. Saw a lovely lacecap blue hydrangea outside one house. So beautiful!

Hope your brother enjoys his new home and you two sisters can have a bit of me time!

Glad that you have rain, not weather warning though. I don't think we'd ave any. By the time the rain comes here, they will be tired, like our footballers and won't wet our area. Where I live is totally allergic to rain.

I had a mossie kiss and my elbow registered 32c

Well England are out but not unexpected, I had a bad feeling earlier when Federer went out of Wimbledon :(. I didn't go pub not really a drinker watched it at home.

Might spray the lawn tomorrow and kill it off, still thinking about it. it looks a mess now anyway with all the dry patches so it going to take a while to recover anyway.

Oh, no! Federer is out!?? I hope Nadal is not going to win! His grunting is killing me.

@Perki Are you sure you want to kill off the grass? No need as they all say that grass recover very quickly. It might be bugging you now, but after a bit of rain, the grass will bounce back. I hope you give them a bit of a chance.

I am so surprised that the millionaire footballers before this team were so useless. Took 28 years for a team to reach semi-final.

Still, well done to the boys. At least, they did it after 28 years. I wonder what kind of mossies I have around these days. Every bite leaves me with a raging burning sensation and an itchy big lump for days.

Good night to all now! A cooler night for sleeping!
