@Upsy Daisy Have a siesta and work either very early or very late. This heat is killing people.

Mother's horror after her Asda glass patio table 'EXPLODES' in Britain's heatwave (before supermarket tells her she can't have a refund despite admitting 'it happens a lot')
  • Paige Tompkins heard a popping noise and found her patio table had exploded
  • The piece of garden furniture from Asda shattered into thousands of pieces
  • Superstore said they were aware of the incident and were investigating

After reading, we heard a loud bang. I thought it was one of the windows broken. Turned out one of the ceramic pot and a thick glass holder for toothbrushes were swept onto the bathroom floor because of the high wind.

Now son is busy sweeping up the debris. When is this misery going to end?

We now become magnet to horrible bugs. One kissed my neck, the fourth finger of my right hand and left with a big patch of blood on the inside of my right ankle. Tomorrow, I will get something methol as deterrent.

You could soon hear us shouting, @DeborahJane !

Probably a little bit narrow, but yes, all these cracks everywhere. @Perki 's lawn is lovely. I have 2 big black patches and now all the tomato seeds from the previous yearS have germinated (about 20 of them:eek::eek:)and I am torn between digging them up so that grass can grow. Let's put it this way, if someone buys the house, they would put their own stamps on it. Having said that, they would like I ask for too much, which is, er, a bit true.

I bet Perk has lost my address or he will be examining my house. @Zenj definitely has my address and he's probably on holiday or too busy packing!

Its not so for from me that reservoir Alp about 12mile by road, a lot closer if you go over the hills, I may go and have a look on the bike, the GC I go to just down the road from there. A lot of reservoirs around here feed Manchester and the surrounding towns, they is a big underground pipe which comes from the lakes as well which goes to Manchester, it could do with cutting off and diverting to my lawn ;) The reservoir which I get my water from is down but its far from low, I've seen it far lower before.

@Upsy Daisy and I could do with this, too.

You lucky man! Have a lovely rolling view and a reservoir. I so love a stretch of water. I have asked for property alerts 1 acre + stream + 3 bedroom and I have been bombarded with Trovit ads every single day. My inbox has been spammed. Need to change the setting. If you binned some ad, it would reappear!

15 inches long is nothing. Hahaha. 15 inch deep is serious. Look at that man's hand. This is going to be very bad as usually all the rivers start from the west and this year, even the west has not been blessed with rain. Imagine, Ireland has a hose ban before us!:eek::eek:

Ooops! Your mum did say go DOWN! You'd better put a sign so that she doesn't get tripped over!

Unless we have 3 to 4 days of thunder storms and rain (frightening prospects as well), my soil is still caked clay! For my plants, I cry a river!

Don't you fancy some Eau de Aphid then, that's a shame it would be at discount prices for forum friends;)

Hadn't heard about this murder before so I googled it.
Sounds like a lot of shoddy workmanship by the P D

Good morning and good night!

The sky was full of teasers - dark clouds like those photographed by you, @Upsy Daisy , yesterday. My first instinct was they were teasers, just that. Turned out my instinct was correct and now the sky is blue. Sad. No rain even though it looked promising.

After a lot of scratching the itchy spots, now I have quite a few itchy and damaged spots. I applied a bit of tea tree oil on various parts and now it is a bit better.

I have the feeling that in 2 weeks' time, my garden will be full of dahlias.. The cupcake looks a bit better, but a bit of a let down. My Easter Star believes its name and is sulking .. now that it's NOT Easter. What a funny name to give to a flower which should flower now.

Yes, Angie's mother is still hunting for justice. Terrifying that the DNA points to an innocent man and another innocent man was incarcerated for 20 years. The prime of his life spent in prison!:cry::cry:
