@Perki Glad that you have SOME good weather to speak of and that you have more goodies to please your soul. I know the feeling. So happy to get something you really want in the garden. I am trying to cross pollinate salvias, but they are such close knit flowers. It was nearly impossible. I weeded the southeast facing border and was sweating badly. The humidity was so high despite having no sunshine. Very pleased that one border is more or less weed free. I will plant out some more dahlias in bigger pots so that we can lift and go. Flowers look soooo much better indoors now I have peony Honey Gold and Mr Hemerick indoors. I might bring in Bowls of beauty as well. Canna indoor look so much better. Slugs ravages all my flowers and stop the Amistad from emerging. They kept nibbling at the point of growth. Thank heavens that it is a big plant.

@BigC You have travelled far and wide!

The rain water has encouraged my Sarah Bernhardt to flower

Hello alp, thanks and those are dill plants in my veggie trug.
Took a very long bike ride along the river yesterday morning, it's running very high right now. If we get several days of rain, that with the snow melt in the mountains will bring us flooding.
Today I have to haul soil into a customers back yard and fill her two new raised beds so she can get my tomato plants planted. It is suppose to rain all day so that's going to be even more fun.

Hiya, @johnny canoe - find it very strange to address you like that! Are you OK to lug compost? Please make sure you're fine.

I love dill and fennel. When fennels were reduced, I bought tons. Just love the aniseed flavour! My veg bed was home to 3 grand slugs today. I saw holes in them yesterday, but failed to take action. This morning, we killed three.

The other half has been picked. A lovely salad for dinner tonight.

Wisteria finally unfurls its clusters

A very happy newcomer - Honey Gold peony

After it has flowered, I will chopped it into two and sell the other bit so that I can buy another one!

I am surprised it is so wishy washy! The frisson of buying must have addled my brain and eyes!

@Upsy Daisy sweetie, when are you coming out to cheer us up!?

Ooops, forgot my Ville de Lyon?

sorry for the chaos! I have a yellow plum, a damson and a white flesh peach all jumbled up. See, expediency has always been my downfall! Now, NO MORE fruit trees in the ground. NO, no! NO!

We have a mutual agreement that we dont really like each other...I have no time for pretentious people thinking that they are landed gentry just because they live in this area...some are so snooty they will even walk past without acknowledging you..so we keep ourselves to ourselves and only speak when spoken too....but anything I do they seem to copy its bloody hilarious.....

Another warm and very humid day, can't be bothered doing much this evening. Could do to check on plants for water so will venture to the gh soon. Someone cat has been in the GH this morning and snapped a shoot off dahlia Bishop of Llandaff and nearly destroyed dahlia imagination 2 out of 3 shoots broke but fortunately ideal for cutting, still not happy though.

I've order some more plants last night :) these words - I Want - is affecting my bank balance :D I still want another clematis, walenburg to be exact :)

Where we walk the boys around the housing estate. They're re surfacing the paths they've marked where all the utilities are underneath.
Blue is for water pipes
Green is for cables
Red is for electrical and there's a yellow for gas.

Tuesday they started on one part put the large bits on that go underneath and disappeared. They haven't come back, left all the barriers and a portaloo.

@Zenj Dreaming Swan looks very nice. I have Queen Charlotte, Wild Swan and Honoré and Prince Hendrick (I think). All reduced from last year. Won't buy any more. My garden is lined with pots 2 deep.

I am glad that I don't want anything unless the price is agreeable.

Good morning to all and

Welcome to the forum and thread, @Evie Keith !
A dull and grey day, but it would be just lovely for me. Going to taking cuttings of the green suckers of my Cornus Controversa Variegata. Would be a sin not to.

Another evaluation today. I am so fed up with it. One more to come on 11th and I will have to make up my mind. Last night, all windows and loft door opened and after that, it hasn't been so bad. I wonder if there is an affordable air purifying system around. I think I am very unethical to sell the house on, but it's not even my fault!:cry:

What are your grand passions, @Evie Keith ! Apparently, this tech-speak will help notify you of any posts or notifications. I feel like acting out my part on The Hand Maid by Margaret Attwood!
