Good morning to a dull and grey day, but at least the outside air is fresh. A much need relief for me. Fresh air and air circulation. Have another evaluation this morning, so will disappear for a while. Have a nice day!

PS: Do you reckon you can seeds from that beautiful Nomocharis?
Planted some seeds about 6 months ago from Chiltern I think been out all winter so got a good chilling but no show:(

I bought Chiltern seeds. To tell you the truth, I don't think much of them. have to say that doesn't look like much of a seed pod. My hellebore seeds have split open, so a lot of picking up to do.

Have some red strawberries to eat now. And it has just started raining. Thank heavens. It was very hot last night.

From now on, I will buy plants with flowers on. The iris I paid £3 has now one flower. I will hand pollinate them for fun again.

Thank heavens that they have finally opened. All the butts are filled (more or less) and some holeless garden pots have been filled. Now I feel so much more settled. Strange that we have rumblings and lightning today instead of yesterday or the day before when the air was so hot.

A streptocarpus has flowered. Very sad. Too hot and too dry for them. This one has nine lives, apparently!

Same here! It was really heavy at one point. But I could still do with another hour of heavy rain. It's been soooo dry and hot here. One hot day and my hellebore seed pods cracked open and now I had to pinch the dirt to lift the seeds. I have been stung by several aphids as well. Just tell you how hot and dry it has been. So relieved to see water in trays

Good morning to all and especially to @johnny canoe ! SPRING has SPRUNG! Such a lovely splash of colour made by the tulips!

Your amaryllis are gorgeous! They do take up a lot of space, don't they? But such spectacular beauties!

Are those dills or fennels please? I have planted quite a few fennels, but I am not sure if they will bolt. Such lovely aroma! Your tomatoes remind me that I must repot them. Mine are minnows.

Woken up by a surge of heat! Might go back to bed again.

I am so pleased I have managed to have one of the similar begonia alive - all the way through the awful winter! The weather has been topsy turvy!

Hi all , been rather busy the past couple of days. Weather been very warm and humid the past few days when the rare shower, had a bit more than a shower this afternoon but doesn't take long to dry up. Its probably been the best / driest weather we have had here for quite a while, can't remember when the weather was last this good.

Had a trip to the GC while the rain suspended work, got 12 bags of compost ( 4 for next door ) and a bag of manure for bannana - canna - dahlia's. Got myself a Ligularia Brit marie Crawford and another salvia maincht.

Managed to get both plants planted when I got home, and planted astrantia snow star salvia carradonna together with the the ligularia in the background, bit worried the Ligularia may grow over the lawn and bully its neighbours. Moved a few plants around when I planted salvia maincht, had a dilemma which way round to plant anemone wild swan and aquilegia yellow queen to match up best with the salvia.
