Well it been a hot sunny day and quite windy at times. Been out in the garden this afternoon, planted out lots of plants - veronica - monarda's squaw - B of Cobdam - sanguisorba - aster monch - salvia uliginosa and others. Move some other plants around and made plans for more :) I desperately want a ligularia britt marie crawford and a few others :)

Replaced the peony which hasn't really done much the past few years, planted rose lady of shallot in its place, I get more out of the rose anyway in terms of flowering. I wanted Rose L of S last year I just need a excuse to buy one :D I got a bit of a sweat on preparing the ground for the rose , so took my t shirt off for the time being. Now I have a lovely shade of red on my back

Mum popped round later, she need help staking her delphiniums cause the ground to hard to push the stakes in, end up planting more plants for her instead for the rest of the afternoon.

Good morning to another scorcher day! Need to go out before the sun gets angry. Going to be 26c here.

Talking about rose, my cuttings from a park of a purple rose has done me proud. More cuttings have been taken and this plant is about 4 foot tall and is a floribunda. with several flower clumps. Flowers come with fragrance and is doing very well. It certainly deserves AGM status.

I wish I were a man in this unreasonable heat! Yesterday there was a music festival in Upminster and all the girls are scantily dressed whilst some have a furry drape over their body! I guessed once they sat down, it might get very cold.

Going to cross pollinate more irises.

Funny that the beard is not part of reproductive organs! The videos have been such an eye-opener!

The heat and the night have brought out very big slugs .. Nightmare! The delphiniums have been damaged badly. The last remaining courgette has been left with no leaves.

One of these is supposed to be Mrs Perry! Ah, I give up!

My £10 Nectarella which comes with fruits. Very excited and extremely pleased that it is a patio plant. The next thing I am after is apricot.

Been bingeing on LA Forensics. It's so hot here!

@Zenj Lovely photos and I saw the buds of my Trollius Chinensis today, but you have flowers already. I have bought 4 of the irises, but none of them seems to like me. This year, everything has been very unpredictable. Most of my irises, even planted in the hottest spots, have been shy. Love your Astrantias. I hope I can some flowers soon. I have managed to see them with leaves, a major improvement over last year!

@Upsy Daisy That's how I came to associate the flower. I have bought exactly the same thing. Great minds think alike.:ROFLMAO:

Good night to all!

Good morning to a dull and grey day, but at least the outside air is fresh. A much need relief for me. Fresh air and air circulation. Have another evaluation this morning, so will disappear for a while. Have a nice day!

PS: Do you reckon you can seeds from that beautiful Nomocharis?
