Dreaming about cosmos!? :eek::LOL:
Yes that's what happens to me,:eek::LOL: if i'm thinking of something when i'm going to sleep, i'll dream about it. I get upset sometimes when i wake up, because if i'm thinking about my son when i fall asleep i'll dream about him and it never used to be nice. But i know that he's ok now.:)

THUNDER AND LIGHTNING

50,000 bolts of lightning! 'Mother of all thunderstoms' lights up Britain's skies in spectacular display as deluge of rain brings Bank Holiday sunshine to an end
  • Lightning struck 50,000 times overnight as thunderstorms struck across England over the Bank Holiday
  • Temperatures could hit 86F (30C) but outdoor barbecues could be affected by rain and thunderstorms
  • Met Office issues rain warnings in Southern Britain today and tomorrow - with the worse being this evening

Dreaming about cosmos!? :eek::LOL:[/QUOTE

I've got a small lean-to greenhouse on the back wall of the garage and i put plants on the top out of the way of the S and S.

In the dream i put the cosmos on the top of the greenhouse and covered them with fleece. When i woke up in the morning they had all been right down to the stalks.:eek::eek:

Good Morning to you all this hot fine day...
I saw some Cosmos yesterday as a matter of fact @Logan and its sure a plant anyone could have a dream about :)
but I desisted from making the purchase due to the garden funding crisis...I really am spending too much a lately. Now its become more of a want than a need...I have lots of seedlings and if I buy much more mature plants I'll have no room for the seedlings....except pots which I want to get away from, so its time to pull on the reins for this year and realise I have some wonderful plants already and be happy in my own gardening skin which leaves me time to crack on with the maintenance side of things which is keeping me uber busy at the minute...I have enough to do in the comming weeks...I'm in London for a few days from tomorrow evening, another long drive and fitting in Chelsea Harbour...I could never live in London....to much hussle and bussle..I much prefer to sit in my garden in the countryside and listen to birdsong....

Today (if I get some time) I'll be attempting to make some of these fruit crates (or similar) to hang at intervals along the garden fence (as fillers) to place some small pots in maybe succulents and trailing bedding perhaps...see what happens :LOL: I have some pallet wood to get rid of so might as well make something rather than bin it.......Wait!....do I smell BACON....gotta go folks :whistle:

Resistance is futile! That's what I have found out. I bought a 6 foot Cornus for £10. Now I am after a ginko and an olive! No McDanald or KFC!

Fern's looking very good! And the rhodo as well!

The fern is the love of my life...It cost me a pretty penny and it really does get huge fronds on it..I was temped to plant it once but knocked that idea on the head incase I lost it to frost so I did plant it in the dirt but in its large pot...I may have to think about repotting later in the year and bring it into the greenhouse in late autumn early winter for some shelter...I dont want to lose this fern ...not because of the money that doesnt matter...just its such a character in the garden...I have it in a sheltered spot dappled sunshine and pine needles mulch...I will source some English Bluebell bulbs at some point...(more freaking money hahahaha) to accompany it....Bluebells are everywhere wish I had a trowel :devil:......

Hello alp, yes Ricky Lee with the train in his yard is my neighbour. I wouldn't call that exciting exactly. lol He was my local grocer until he retired and a few times in the winter he helps my with snow shoveling. But not exciting. Now if he charged down the street on the back of a war elephant, that would be an exciting Ricky Lee.

Busy days right now, still have four customers one my list that need me in their gardens. I am even going to work today, usually Sundays are a rest day. Something I grew up doing. ( my dad was a Baptist preacher when he married mom)

Chinese can be very generous - has he ever given you a red packet for New Year? I reckon he's from Hong Kong with the spelling. Nice to have neighbour who makes train rather than fouling the air. I am dreading tonight.

Johnny, wish you would give Sunday a break, with you being a Christian. I guess the injuries sustained has built up a backlog. Take it easy. Are you 100% OK now?

@BigC That's a bridge too far. Too tacky now. You need to paint it mallard green to inject some gravity. Make sure you know how much sugar there is in a glass of vino! Not going to be good for your health!

@Perki Rose is so much more versatile than peony! No contest!

But I hate rose or raspberries when it comes to weeding!

some cheap and basic blue iris! I really want to find out who these suppliers are and give them a piece of my mind.

Now I will go a certain nursery and buy them WITH FLOWERS on! No more great expectation!

Finally, I bought a nectarine for £10 reduced from £20. Nectarella. Come with several fruits. Was dithering about whether to go to Homebase or not. In the end, we went and bingo. A NECTARINE patio tree for me! VERY, VERY, VERY HAPPY!

Might graft some peach buds on to it. Just have a laugh.
