A very, very good morning to all. The gound has been wet and son came home at 6am and told me it had rained twice overnight. Soooooo relieved. I need this rain. Of course, as soon as it has rained, the SS (two huge ones of each variety) had to be despatched to mee their makers. Took the teak chairs to be rained on to make it easier to strip the paint. Bought 2 bottles of paint, but decided against it as don't think 2 tins are enough and the cost is spiralling out of control.

Big match during the weekend.

"Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy"
Good Morning everyone
Yes another fine day in prospect..Well the garden has been treated to its first round of 4 in 1 application..so expecting some blackness over the comming days as the moss and weeds subside and the lush green colouration comes to the fore..I was still watering it in until after 10pm and the smell gets on your chest...We're off to the coast today as I said earlier and the rascal of a dog is comming too...simply because we dont want him in the garden until the fertilizer dries into the soil for health reasons..must remember to bring water and pooper bags lol...

Have a nice day out, @BigC and drop in on any gc along the way! Treat War D to something else .. a pansy or two. Just make sure she deadhead and keep the seeds.

When it is hot, I'm going to hand pollinate some irises. The freaky weather has stopped some from flowering. I need a long long exposed south east facing border where all my dahlias will set seeds.

To my absolute delight. I found 2 tomato plants growing on the edge of the border yesterday. :D:ROFLMAO:

You know collecting seeds is something I never bothered about TBH but I have a nice selection of plants I should really be looking at.....Trips to GC' certainly bring home the prices of things...shrubs and trees I planted years ago I see diminutive versions for £50 or more especially Acers...I wonder if I had to upsticks could I do it all again at todays prices...I dont think so...flowers maybe yes but these mature shrubs I'm not so sure....and I bought them all back then at about a foot tall for paltry sums...its a real eye opener..not that you would ever pricetag everything in your garden..its a hobby and like all hobbies it costs money to please the eye but I cant help but thinking that doing it all again would be a challenge......besides I dont think I'd live long enough to see what I see in front of me now......Get me another drink lol

You might be interested in your youtube friend's video on Salvia cuttings since you're ALLERGIC to seed collections :LOL:

. It might be a good idea to take cuttings of your salvias .. Or perhaps, you're allergic to taking cuttings, too!:LOL:;)

BigC Go to GCs later in the season and you can pick something fantastic for a song. Now is NOT the time to buy. Prices can induce deep melancholy and depression!

That's great, I started mine off too late because of the cold weather, they've only reached the first leaf stage.

You know its never that easy @alp
In an ever increasing society whose philosophy seems to be "its all about the here and now" I find myself succumbing to a certain degree...I like to view things, view people, buy and apply hahaha dont make me a bad person though :ROFLMAO:

Sounds great.:)
I've tried those, they're very reliable variety.
I don't know what variety mine are, it was a free packet last year and i lost the label. I know it's one that i would grow as a cordon. Also it was seed that i saved from last year. The old plant is in the concervatory, so it should be true to type.:)

Ooops! Nearly missed out Midas Touch to @BigC ! You've done well. Mine are tiny!

Unfortunately, the rain has more or less stopped. Rain is allergic to my garden.

Well here are the 2x Ailsa Craig circa 3ft and in flower..I will let them set between 4-6 trusses before pinching the growing tip.
