Question would be as to which flowers should I include around the garden for the bees even if I dont include a swarm into my plan, I would still like to provide a little help to bees in general by planting some flowers.

BigC, if there is anything I have learned from JBtheExplorer, it is that native plants are the best ones to help the bees. Take a look at this site, maybe some of these will appeal to you! :)

Very cloudy / misty got up earlier ..

I forgot to say @alp I do have a cornus kousa chinese now, when I recommended it to somebody I removed a sucker from it and potted it up :)

Perki, so Cloud 9 like it shady? I need more info.

We went out nearly 9am and it was misty and foggy, but 10am, the sun is out and we have had a lovely semi-sunny day until about 1pm. Rained from 4.15 to 4.30 and now it's just grey and cool. From 10.30, I did tons of camellia cuttings and 12 noon, went to Prezzo. The con Chipola is now named some kind of garlic bread and the crust was hard and flat with very little pickled onion on it. The King Prawns were just prawns, the king was dethroned. Spaghetti not al dente! Shame as we used to love to go there and ordered only these two. But now, due to cost cutting, we don't even have that to look forward to. We used to love Pollo carbonara, but that had been removed from the menu. I so wanted to lick the dish for its delicious sauce. Life is cruel ..

We put up another shelf and tidy up half of the lean to. Tomorrow, we will put the chairs around the table and hopefully it looks nice. Propagator has gone upstairs. Done quite a lot and is now having a well-earned rest.

@BigC Best is to do air-layering. I did about 10 and have about 7 success. Very easy. Don't even bother with seeds. I remember this man trying to prove a point and tried 100s of these seeds. Er .... zilch result.

Watch it and have a chuckle!

I reckon BigC is a sucker! Any flowers would be more or less good for bugs. I only paid 40c for my bottle. I bet that one costs an arm and a leg! But hey, someone needs to prop up the economy! LOL!

Hahaha love the vid @alp on the A. griseum tree...I would buy one around 4-6 ft if I can get one at the right price and with nice branch formation.... If I'm a "Sucker" for anything@alp at the moment it just has to be Chilli plants cant get enough of them...don't know what it is about them, if I see one I buy it hahahaha, I seem to have just taken to them..so much so I bought another 4 today whilst at the GC...Chocolate Habanero, Red Jalapeno, Apache F1 (I already have this but it forms a nice bush that I got myself another for 98p) and a Dorset Naga (hot hot) :)...Fetish or Obsession...You Decide!

I was once such a big sucker. I heard the woman say the flower hibiscus spectabilis will change colours 3 times a day and straight away I had the urge to buy it. I did and now I realise that flowers change colours all the times. Just this one changes them faster .. Well, lack of money puts a clamp on my life style. Not that I moan. I love the idea of buying plants myself.. We all need a bit of shopping therapy, especially when the sun has gone awol. 2 minutes ago, it was so bright that I had to shield my eyes to reduce glare!

If they fire your passion, go for it. I hate deadbeats .. I would say, mull over it, sleep over it and look around and think about it - Will I still love it in 20 years' time? Ask your beloved and seek more opinion. I saw a lovely conifer £20 with a canopy and it was reduced for clearance. If I had moved, I would have bought it straight away. It must have been in that pot for a long time. A tree like that can easily fetch £80. If you like it and can afford it, do it. I bought a reduced packet of chillies from up the road, one Scotch Bonnet germinated and I haven't paid kind attention to it. I don't think I should add to the pot.

Saw in GW that this lady went to apply for a job and asked for her collection of campanulas to go with her. Wish I could have an arrangement like that. I need to buy a hillside for trying out meconopsis, erythroniums, camellias, salvias and what nots!

Has her indoors, aka the lone flower, used the Flymo aka Mo Farrar? I would return it as the grass cuttings, even with the collecting box, would fly everywhere. Every time I used it, the broom indoors had to come out and finish the sweeping job. You should have paid more attention to the flower! Naughty, naughty so she doesn't buy into something silly!
