Morning all , well can't see any sunshine here......just mist!:(

Plan to take some Camellia cuttings , tried last year but failed ( autumn - wrong time I think) . After watching GW last night I thought that I would follow Monty's instructions and try again .:)

Then start to embarked on my re-sowing session...I may not bother with Cleome though, but I do love it:(

Right ! I'm off to bravely face the awaiting elements.
May get lost in this murky mist....if you don't hear from me please send out a search party!!!(y):)

Have a good day everyone, especially if you have sunshine to enjoy!:)

@BigC the planting scheme has changed over the years. I started with getting a good book on shrubs and trees and one for roses. No
internet in those days. You can plant shrubs at the back and get them that flower at different times. In front of them plant roses and perennials in between. Giving them enough space to grow. A lot of people plant them to close together. In front of them plant small annuals and half hardy annuals. The colours don't matter. You could get a soil testing kit, but look at your neaghbours and see what they have.

When we moved here this was just grass and had 3 trees down the side of the house. Around the edge of the path started with the roses, planted over a couple of years. Then slowly increased the boarders and put perennials in and annuals. A lot for the bees.
Now I have fruit in as well.
A lot of spring bulbs, polyanthus and wallflowers. Have pyracantha up against the wall.
This was taken this morning.

The SUN is in the Sky......Aint it amazing how a fresh cut lawn and edging can virtually transform your mood to tackling the rest of the gardening or was it just a sudden overdose of D and B12..hahaha either way I was in the mood and in the zone...I still need to wash the paths now with Jeyes Fluid and thats that done. garden furniture to paint and revitalise boarders to tend, hanging and wall baskets to plant. it's that warm in the greenhouse I've even stuck the chilli's out for a daytime treat :) Still a mountain of work to get through but the highlight of my day was seeing that I hadn't lost my Parthenocissus henryana, this is the second one I've grown it's predecessor died with the frost...Taking a mid day rest now with some ploughmans sandwiches and a nice wee pot of tea..Enjoy your day peeps..Happy Gardening....

Thanks @Logan for some ideas..yes I would like some flowery borders..Whilst all or most of my shrubs bloom at some point I feel its not enough colour

Then slowly increased the boarders

I do like this slip of tongue. Shame they don't give you money!

Been out and about the whole day. B&Q was almightily busy and 20% all outdoor plants. Bought another fruit tree and saved £2. Mirabelle de Nancy. Bought another bi-color camellia to commemorate her mum's passing. Her partner opened the door and said he was not very good with Camellia. I nearly wanted to withdraw my offering.:cry:

Amazing how prices vary from place to place. In my beloved Summerhill, they charge £12.99 for a flowering clematis Avalanche whereas in Wyevale, it's £23.99.

Boughts tons of reduced packets of bare roots - dark stemmed agapanthus, dahlias, alstroemerias, begonias and I felt there was no brake in my misadventure, especially when I saw this pink beauty begging me to take it home.

Yes that's a shame.:LOL::ROFLMAO:

Do like your tulips @alp

Thank you so much! I am using my son's applemac to look at my flowers. The details and colours are just fascinating, so much better than my Toshiba! Spent a lot of this month again and shopping food costs me an arm and a leg!
