Good morning to another dull, damp, drab day. No sunshine to speak of. Another day in the front garden, and need to sow my rocket seeds and something else as the weather is supposed to be 18 next week.

Good Morning Everyone...Great pics as always @johnny canoe ..Looking out my dirty ole window I am greeted with the same doom and gloom, overcast and damp....Hopefully if the weather gurus are to be believed things are due a temporary fix this weekend....we shall see

Last year I sowed multi mixed leaf lettuce in guttering troughs in the greenhouse @alp and always got a good crop..try attaching some to a wall maybe.... you'll be picking leaves for evermore ..just a thought

What's happening this year, @BigC ?
Exactly the same @alp I have all the seeds just waiting for the weather to warm up..I'll possibly sow this weekend...The seed are very quick to germinate so I'm in no rush for salads just yet...but yes 2 troughs of salad leaves will be sowed alongside a miniature Kale I will be trying... going by the name of Kalettes...so we'll see how that turns out...Only 2 tomato plants this year and lots of Chilli's if I can get them to germinate otherwise its off to the garden centre :)....

Just did my good deed for the day, saw a frog on the pavement and moved him onto the grass.

Did some cutting out for keiths cards. With small sissors.

When the picture is stuck on the card, keith will put very small sguares of sticky foam on the back of these and I put them on the pic. The biggest one will go on first, then the next.

Stick this picture on this card with double sided tape

Same here! I have 2 trays of tiny seedlings. I'm going to sow 2 trays this week of salad leaves.

I have killed 2 to 3 trays this year because of the snow and the terrible surge of heat from the radiator.

Nice that Keith has something to keep him happy and content, Logan ! Hope there's some money in it for you, too.

Brought the fritillary imperalis x 2 in and this morning found 3 slugs inside the lean to. I hope I can see perfect flowers. At this rate, I am not too sure. They sure look cleaner in here. First time I have ever grown them. So great expectation. Shame I don't have the orange ones.

That's great.
I started collecting my own chilli seeds and they germinate much better. Dry them out on kitchen paper, keep them in the paper, roll them up and wrap them in kitchen foil then cling film and put them in a tin, until i want them.

Thanks yes he does pay me, but I just like doing it. He's got a lot of dies to use with his cutting machine, going to do some of that next weekend.

3 and a half hour of weeding and I am now sweating in a short sleeve summer top. I still have another 4 hours to go in the front. I even broke the little knife! Wish I were prince Charles - to have gardeners to pick slugs and snails and weed ..
