Well still haven't done my tulips, arrived back home and it was pouring and blowing a right old hooley! Quite a few upturned pots and our large garden wall clock laying on the patio with it's glass all smashed :(:(

Absolutely not a single flake of snow to be seen at all @alp:cry::cry:

Been keeping myself amused by making little Christmas ornaments:)View attachment 30367

They are so cute! Love them.. I can see the child in you... and the imp in @Verdun! Hehehe!

Very heavy snow here all day, I don't recall it like this for 5-6 years. The forecasts failed us again, we had heavy rain to begin with yet it's settled. Managed to knock some of the snow off evergreens and shrubs with a broom - got absolutely drenched. Still have some alliums and daffs to get in. Wellies on and took Barney over to the fields, his first time in snow as he's only coming up 2 - he loved it despite only being hand stripped yesterday but no complaints, tough little dogs.

Same here! No such snow for 5 or 6 years. And I thought it was only rain .. Went out to sort out the precious liquid silver i.e. rain and got drenched, too. The top was on the radiator and the crew neck line was still wet after 2 hours. Turned up all the radiators for 2 hours. Never done this before. I am going to Summerhill next week. Hopefully, I can get more alliums - the giant ones.

Beautiful day here. Planted Sweet Peas. Replaced a hose bib, rehabbed a hose reel and put a new hose on it. Did some weed eating. Cleaned up the rose bed and the flower bed, cleaned up and amended the raised bed. I pulled out a couple of Cosmos that must have been 8' tall. I had two happy days in the yard with my dog shadowing me :).

Good morning. Snow has dwindled and it's raining properly .. Still a sheet of snow on the back garden. I hope it will frizzle out. Don't want to see adults deliberately throwing snowballs at vehicles ..

Wow! 8' tall cosmos! Just tell me how much I know. Only my nicotiana was high as 6' and that's too tall for me as they invariably like to grow along the path .. Gardening is more enjoyable with dog keeping you company. I always had a robin serenading me .. whilst it keeping a hawk eye for any worm-victims!

Wot! Unpaid? Was surprised you got up so early. Be safe. Paid or unpaid. I'm sure a pint is on the way. You mustn't spoil your nephew or niece too much ..

Here, I suggest no outing in cars... can be wobbling on ice ..

WOW! Work of the Week! Is there no end to your talents?.. Very clever with your hands, @Upsy Daisy ! It's so cold here. Even though I'm 2 feet away from the radiator.

Have a nice day, Upsy!

Snow melting with the rain and turning to slush, even the dog didn't want to walk this morning! Must get in the slightly tender perennials tonight.. a few fuchsias and salvia patens, predicted -4 or -5 here. May try to risk with fleece as don't fancy gardening in this weather

So apparently, we're not only breeding a generation of wimps:eek:, dogs are included as well:LOL:! Ah, well, can't blame him. I was feeling under the weather and had to wear a Liverpool scarf to keep my body temperature up. I am a wimp.. Just like your lovely dog. I haven't been out. The further place I went as to grind the bananas for me worms.

All these html5 and css are sending me to deep slumber and freezing cold:cry:. I have taken quite a few cuttings of my black and blue salvia and amistad. Have had 2 or 3 big decorator sheets on some plants. I am dreading the casualties of this severe plunge in temperature.. According to the bbc, Logan will have -12c, probably so will @Colin .. But knowing Colin, he won't be a wimp. Never ever!
