Alp just think that you might have a lot more next.:)

We get slugs in the concervatory, don't know how they get in. The boys pick the small ones up on their fur underneath.:eek:

Good morning: After shaming myself about slugs, I watched Green River Killer. The man killed 48 women whilst maintaining a normal married life. Quite shocking.

Hope to level the back garden this afternoon. Hope you all have a lovely day now that the country is basking in a mini-heat wave, a dizzy 13c!

Talking about slugs, I will we could have a photo collage of slugs. I have seen some BIG green spotty ones in the bin. Quite frightening and disgusting. Huge!

@alp there's a lot of reasons why it won't flower.
It needs pruning in winter, it could be too much nitrogen so it grows a lot. It needs a sunny spot. Is it in well drained soil?. If you Google Gardeningknowhow. com. That's not a link. It could help.:)

Wonder when to fertlise amaryllis. Somehow mine all have leaves. I chopped them off and put them in the west facing window and hopefully, there might be some flowers to enjoy.

My amaryllis is getting ready to bloom!! It has shot up the stalk, and I see the bud, I'm just waiting for it to open! :)

Went out before 9 and came back 12.30. Cleared a lot of areas, but still a lot of work to do.

Saw this double hellebore

Another Wendy's Gold

This next one is called Blonde Inge and it is different becaue the markings are not so long as those inside the flower.

Logan: I think that's MaryMary! And I am sure she will.

I worked in the light drizzle. Son had to go to London, and he had a rough night last night. He urged me to start working in the very light drizzle. So we did. When it's dry tomorrow, I'm going to build a retaining wall so that I can house compost areas and plant something nasty to deter people from entering the garden. Have pyranthus in mind.

Pyracantha is a good choice Alp, I use it here. It grows very fast too with lots of lovely white flowers followed by berries that the blackbirds adore. 13c here today, with lows of 11.. this exact day last year was 4 and -4c. A very mild, wet and windy January. December was much colder. I will have to check on my snowdrops as yours look wonderful as ever, they are under the hazel at the end of the garden and have been there 25+ years
