I'll wait until the beginning of February, got more light then. Those snowdrops are amazing and the quality of the pic is well done.

In a week's and 2 days' time! Yeah!

Good morning to all. Woke up because of the foul air and suddenly realised that it was 3.45, so a good time to start the machine machine. Now the tumble dryer is on, and I feel like going to bed again.

I had to google bellis:LOL:! I have a clump, probably from wild seeds. I didn't want to kill it as it has become a clump, so I removed it to the front. It could be feverfew or some daisy. Some big clumps of chrysanthemums as bald as prince William and yet at the base, there were about 10 flowers.

Supposed to rain, but I didn't hear anything when I was in the lean to.

Every time I looked at @JBtheExplorer 's photos, I wanted to upgrade my camera. Exquisite photos whilst my camera can't even focus. Which ones are you talking about, @Logan ? That Monarda is stunning.

Your photos look focused to me. The ones as you said, monarda and echinaceas. Monarda will like it in one part where it's always moist.

Blanket flowers or Gaillardias are very statement making. I hope mine survives the winter. Bought it for £1. If you could get to poundshop every weekend, you can be quite lucky and get something fascinating eg £1 for Gloriosa. I bought an Astilbe pink for £1 on Friday as well.

They sound very good, the Astilbe likes a lot of water. Some things i'm reluctant to grow because of the slugs and snails. Once i had a lot of penstemons because i knee that they wouldn't get eaten.

I will put the astilbe in a tray with water - about half an inch. It's too cold to take anything out now.

Penstemons are a very good investment. They are pretty tough and survives winters here and flower till December. I bought a Sour Grapes. Very pleased. I will try to get some cutting from a pittosporum up the road, crying out for me to take some cuttings. It's a lovely green with white mottled effect. Very sick looking!:D
