Alp, not right now, but at the beginning of next week, when I have my shelves and grow lights set up in the guest bedroom, I'll be sowing sage, parsley, and marjoram seeds. They all seem to take a while to germinate, even under a dome, so I start them early in cells, and transplant to larger pots later.
Around here, those who start their own sweet or hot pepper plants are putting them into grow cells now.

@marlingardener What a nice start!

I really love parsley and its distinctive flavour. I might start some rockets outisde by putting a translucent fleece over it. Do you think it's a good idea as I now will have 5c or 41f in the next few days. I still have parsley growing in a raised bed when I cleared my compost bins beginning of the year, but I would love to have the curly ones. All my other Chinese cabbage Chinese leaf bolted last year and the tomatoes had no ripe one in the same corner. Very sad and sadly that area didn't enjoy any sun in the morning and yet is very hot after lunch and is scorching hot until sun sets in the summer. I so want to start my delphinium seeds of which I have got loads, I think I might as well start and put a clear plastic bag over the polystyrene trays.

Anybody sowing any seeds now?

Two more months. I can do it. I can wait two more months ... Remember that year you couldn't wait, and they all got leggy, and fell over, and you had to start again? Yes, I remember, I can wait two more months, I must wait, it is only two months, I can do it. :cry: :cry:

I reckon I can start one month earlier. I see what you mean though. Quite wise. Sometimes too early a start might end up giving seedlings damping off. Tricky ones.

alp, that is my mantra I must repeat when I read about other people starting seeds. I get excited, and I want to start mine now, too!! :D

That post was me talking to myself. :oops:

Wait @alp..:stop:...be strong and resist all temptation :D:ROFLMAO:

As I said in another post, last year I had no choice but to wait longer than I would have done normally to start seed sowing due to recovering from surgery.......and I had the best germination success ever!!!(y). So I am really ,really trying to do the same this year too, but only time will tell;)

Haha! Thank you for reassuring me. When did you start last year then? It might be a good idea as I have already had plants which I can't reach!:eek:

Lobelias flowered in my west facing bedroom and I still have 3 or 4 of them hanging around. Sadly, one of my yellow osteospeermum is dying. I have done some cuttings, but this time of the year, everything is touch and go. I am now extremely generous with my cinnamon .. Most of my pots are covered with it and I went to Asda to get a tiny packet of it. It's so useful.

I'll wait until the beginning of February, got more light then. Those snowdrops are amazing and the quality of the pic is well done.

Awwwww! You're so sweet, Logan! I think I must have torn one petal just to show the innards. I have now 3 yellow tops. Soooo excited. I don't seem to find my Lady Elphinstone though. It's a yellow double.
