Cut my wife some Lemon Balm.

After wind last night found myself potting and Repotting. Had some plants Root Bound which surprised me they had been potted couple weeks. They must like that soil.

Went to town and returned couple packages.

Was surprised my Tomato Seed has sprouted and Zucchini has to.

Planted some green and red cabbage, bok choy and radishes. Transplanted some swiss chard and collard greens. Did some weeding on some sweet corn that had sprouted 2 -3 weeks back. Made lemon grass tea...mmmm tasty. Still sipping on the tea.

I watered all my potted plants, I grow it, it has to be edible, my wife grows, it has to be flowers. I took some pots out of my little greenhouse and put 3 more in the green house to see if I can get my peppers to sprout. My tomatoes, all except 1 came up fine

Got up late so everything was late.

Thought everything would need watering but only inside plantes.

So I went around Dead Heading and cleaning up plants.

Put Wood Ash on the garden before I plant.

Checked my Worms they to me are being slow getting into their New Bedding.

Caught one Squirrel.

Granddaughter has been coming by checking on me.

went through one greenhouse weeding, watering and rearranging. Did a fair bit of potting on, basil, fennel and various odd bits, watering in other greenhouse. Mowed a lot of rough areas to catch weeds before they seed. Took out a blueberry that had grown huge but was doing nothing cut it up and mowed it down.

Just a bit of dead-heading and quince pruning.
The big outside job was cleaning the frames of the French windows, front and back door, the kitchen windows and the front bay. Didn't do the upstairs as "I'm, not allowed to use a ladder."

Our mimosa seems to have put on a bit of a spurt. Might get some blossom at the end of the year.

I should have posted yesterday that is when the work was done.

My Son was Tilling the garden but he didn't know how to go deeper. So I showed him.

He got it Tilled so I started planting.

Planted two rows of Okra, two rows of Bush Green Beans, one row Pole Green Beans, one row Cucumbers, Spaghetti Squash and several Tomato Plants.

Plus I planted Basil, Marigolds and Garlic to deter Bugs.

My wife said don't over do it. Too Late! LOL.

Today watered everything it has been so Hot and dry.

Sold a Petunia.

Cleaned out small Compost Bins. Put them For Sale.

I got a job done, I'm never fond of doing each year.
Dead-headed our biggest rhodo. I find with jobs you don't like doing it's best to get them done early in the day, if you say to yourself, "I'll do it later," it doesn't get done.
There was still some blooms, but most had died off. I find it's better to lose these while you can still get at the heads before the new shoots get in the way.
With some rhodos, you need a pair of long nose secateurs, but with this it's easy to pinch them out with forefinger and thumb.

Job done.

We've had this rose for a couple of decades. That long ago, my wife decided she didn't like it. But I wasn't going to chuck it out, so I moved it down to near the bottom corner of the garden where it wasn't in view from the house. But it's always had other ideas, it only flowers above the height of the fence, so it's still in view from the French windows.

These are the two hydrangeas I bought with the twenty quid voucher from Sutton's Seeds, in compensation for the poor quality begonia plants I'd bought for them.
I first posted a photograph of them on 7th June.

They are doing very well and will have quite a few blooms on them.

Still haven't got round to repointing the patio.

Lots of berries on our Sorbus, at the bottom of the garden, these will go bright red in the autumn.

It's June 23rd. "The nights will be drawing in from now on."

I think that is rather a pretty pink rose, Sean. The missus was out yesterday and had been complaining about the state of the patio, so I cleaned it, took most of the day, now "It's a bit bright that yellow, less character."
My patio also wants repointing in places, I expect tha will look wrong too :)

Picked Green Beans, I have to say they look the best they ever have.

Watered everything potted.

Dead Headed Butterfly Bush.

Was happy most the stuff I planted Thursday is up.

Ordered some more Marigold and Butterfly Milk Weed seed.
