@johnny canoe this time last year the wasps were getting on our jackets and coming in the house.

Talking about wasp. Last year, on a sunny day, I took my washing into the house and there was a loud BUZZ entering the living room with me - 5 times that of a bumble. I was so horrified. Turned out to be a giant hornet, twice the length of a bumble. I just squeezed it dead with a vengeance. My heart was pounding.

Many, many years ago, we have a giant hornet nest in the loft, half the size of a football. We had to spray it with a can and after that all our fears gone with the collapsed nest.

Morning all, raining at 5am and still raining. But mild.

Gentle rain here as well, but @Verdun has SUN! He deserves it as where he lives, the county is always seen under a neon green blue patch, but according to him, he is always sunny! Haha!

I have very little rain, but drizzle all the way to 11am. The sun made a brief appearance for 5 minutes and overcast all the way again..

Good morning, there is now a bit of light. At 6am, it was just pure darkness. Mild - 12 to 19c but tomorrow might be warmer by 1c. Today the weather is superb as the sun is predicted to be shining most of the day.

14 to 20c. Ideal for gardening and with occasional sunshine. Going to be lovely to be in the garden. No need to duck the heat, but can't dry clothes properly. After 9pm, there will be non-stop rain, so they say. I'd be happy if I get half of it.

It's a bit cooler today. Get rain late afternoon.

As long as it rains when I am in bed, I am happy!
