Yes, it rained and my clothes have to be out for the night. How annoying!

That's right Alp, rub it in!:cry:
We haven't had rain all month, and I'm tired of hauling water to our plants just to keep them alive.
Sorry about your laundry (well, not really, but I thought it sounded sympathetic!).

Every year, this happens to me except this year. I normally didn't even water them. Survival of the fittest! I just grow irises and they like it dry and hot and tons of alstroemerias which didn't mind the heat or drought. After joining a forum, I started to water my plants and that's where the panic gripped me. We seldom had rain. Across the southern part of the UK, we could see huge rain band, neon electric yellow, starting from where @Verdun lives and I would be thrilled. But no, by the time, they were here in Essex, they would have dissipated into nothingness. :cry::cry::cry:. Last winter, I buried tons of horse manure and water retentive crystals on my raised beds and I could see some improvements. This year is an exception. I have so far only used 3 days of metered water. Boy, I'm so pleased; but the lack of heat is really depressing. I don't like the heat, but plants need it to flower and set seeds. I hope the rain would stop and I can see a bit more flower before the funereal winter sets in. It's no laughing matter as it is dark and dang by 3pm.

I feel so sorry for you. About 10 rounds, you would feel heavens was punishing you. And also the poor plants need a SOAK, not a drizzle from your butt.

Sorry about your washing.:eek::cry:

Wish I had done it yesterday. The weather was so hot and humid after 11am. Ah, well, you win some and lose some. No more rain here now. Time for a cuppa ..

@Logan from now on, it might be a good idea to wear a hat and get a poncho.. The damp and wet are not good for our age! :p;)

Summer is no more! I had serious rain last night. Oh, dear! The cuppa is finished.

Seems someone noticed that we didn't yet have summer, so they are making up for it now! In the 80's for the whole last week and the same until the end of the month. This just doesn't happen here! The garden came back to life and tried to make more Squash and Kale, and encouraged the Peppers and Eggplants to keep going. Hope the weather doesn't go back to normal before I'm ready!

Hurrah! At least, someone has a bit of Indian summer. Same can't be said for us. Just retired all my clothes and some are being dried next to my oven - perfumed with rosemary .. Haha!
