Morning all,cold clear sky. Didn't have any gails yesterday,a bit windy.

10c to 17c (top 62.6). No Indian summer for me. Bit of the cold side and the sun hasn't come out in force either.

Rained a bit last night and may have snow tonight, then it will warm up again. South of the city still burning, Town of Waterton is threatened but last I heard the fire fighters have managed to save the Prince of Wales Hotel.

Thank heavens that our weather here is a bit more mundane. Evacuation because of smoke and fire sounds serious. I'm thrilled to have spotted the RARE white giraffe spotted in Kenya story. Amazing!

Our weather is pretty good--early morning in the 60's, rising to the low 90's in the afternoon. I can work in the gardens until about 11 a.m. and then close up the house and turn on the AC. This is very unusual for September in central Texas!

Drizzling here today, thought it was supposed to be dry. Need to cut out all the fruiting canes of the blackberries. It will have to wait until next week.

We have had 2 rounds of drizzles for 2 minutes each and that's it. It has been fine the whole day. Ideal for gardening. I have more or less weeded a whole border..

30C is slightly warm! I would be sweating like a pig .. You must have a very different threshold to mine.

I have been so happy with the weather today. The only regret is that it hasn't rained at all until just now and I haven't done any laundry as I saw patches of rain all over our area .. Weather report is just so lousy and they get £1m bonus and for what .. I bet they have ruined quite a few businesses. Imagine all the shops buying up BBQ stuff and the weather reports predict rains, business go quiet as people think there will be rain ..
