Hi,

Please look after my Blackie Logan; he and his sister Gale have been my constant companions for many years in fact I can loan you Gale; she was here last night; the bedroom window was open and I awoke to the curtains being blown around and the window rattling. :)

WOW it's forecast fine for today with a rise in temperature; am I still in Yorkshire?

Kind regards, Colin.

Hi,

I've just enjoyed a laugh by looking at the BBC weather forecast for my area; already today we've enjoyed yet another downpour; does sunny intervals mean between downpours? I'm visiting Rufforth Auto Jumble this Saturday what's betting the forecast is wrong?

Kind regards, Colin.

Hi,

Thanks Logan. I doubt the BBC weather forecasters could correctly predict rain if they were standing under a cloudburst. It's good of you to look after Blackie and Gale for me; I hope you tire them both out before returning them to me. :D (y)

21C forecast for today; I hadn't realized Yorkshire thermometers read so high.

Rufforth Auto Jumble tomorrow; will it rain?

Kind regards, Colin.

Hot and dry here in Alberta, the forest fire season has started early this year, our entire province is blanketed in smoke. I can taste it today and everything is a haze. They're getting the smoke from my province in Detroit and Denver.

Hi,

Awww thanks Logan. :D

WOW I've only just returned from Rufforth Auto Jumble and both Blackie and Gale haven't tormented me; overcast but warm and no gale force wind so I've enjoyed myself and bought a couple of new toys; I've been looking for a cranked hoe and spotted one so I picked it up taking it to the guy sitting in the back of his van; "How much please" reply " It's over 100 years old you can tell by the knob on the end of the handle; it's £30" he still has the hoe; at another stall I spotted another cranked hoe this too being old; the usual "How much please" reply "It's £2" it's in the car awaiting unloading; on the same stall were two old Suffolk petrol mowers; I had a good look but resisted and strolled away; a short while later I was looking at these again and thought do I actually need a third petrol mower and walked away; on the third visit one of the mowers is in the car awaiting unloading; when I asked how much I was surprised by the reply; "they need some TLC but one has its grass box which is rare and that one is £20" I love Rufforth.

We use lots of black refuse bin bags so I handed over £20 for 24 rolls which should keep us busy for a while; I couldn't leave Bron out even though Rufforth is a guy thing; I bought Bron a lidded plastic box for her card making materials at £7.50. As I wandered around I bought quite a few useful items so I'm well pleased. As I pushed the mower to the car it was funny; the mower was kicking up a right old racket with its metal roller on the tarmac and blades spinning; it was as though it was mowing a path through all the visitors who stepped to one side as I approached bearing a big smile; at the car I had a problem; I dropped the rear seats and pulled everything out of the boot just then two passing guys kindly asked if I'd like a lift into the car with the mower which I gratefully accepted thanking them for their kindness; I've never been center stage but pushing this mower drew everyone's attention to me; good job I'm not shy?

I'm having a mug of tea and bickie then I'll unload the car. (y)

Kind regards, Colin.
